Thrawn crisis was part of GCW. And DNC and Swarm war are also very close to being one thing. And Corellian Insurection wasn't really a war.

I also think that YV are daedly opponents. but in the books they're more like scary looking but very dumb and easily cheated. Especially in Borleias Ebag 9. And after Ebaq 9 they just suddenly start loosing. And it's said that YV suffered many losses before invading Coruscant. And at almost every important battle they always got heavy casualties even if they won. but the NR doens't apparently suffer at all. they just retreat and then quickly strike back. That's the major problem in NJO.

you're both wrong. it GCW lasted until 19 ABY. ten years after the Thrawn crisis.

Well, then what exactly is your definition of 'hardcore fighting'? I mean, its not like during the YV war over 10 times more people died compared to the GCW or anything

there were fighting between rebels and imperial after 10 ABY. Daalas campaign, Pellaeon's campaigns. and numerous little fights that were fought. the fighting sure didn't end at 10 ABY.

I thought the GCW was ended around the time the New Republic came into being, but then again I dont really take into account the Thrawn crisis and the campaigns....

NR was born shortly after Endor. some 15 years before the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty which ended the war.
