If you have to take books off the bottom shelves to make a step so you can reach other books on the top shelves you're doing something wrong.

I was joking with that. At least on my side. I am 1.86 meters tall
My mother on the other hand with her 1.50 or so has issues reaching the top shelves.

Kitchen cupboards will always be a problem: either the thing you want is at the back of the bottom cupboard where you gave to grovel on hands and knees or the back of the top cupboard which you can't reach without climbing onto the worktop.

the problem with 'murica is that guns are much more accepted than even nudity. The movies are the perfect example. Someone goes there and decapitates and slices up half the characters, PG15(just telling something), but show tits on the screen and everyone is going nuts that is was so inappropriate.
This mentality is what actually makes the problems. The guns, (also see Firearms!) became so accepted that almost everyone has them. Now is it weird that an over-bullied psycho manages to get one? And everyone is shocked when he goes out and guns down 30 guys in his school? Maybe cut down on the guns and learn to talk out first, then send in the marines.
Because believe it or not, this mentality is clearly seen in the US army.
And I don't say the US is the only one that acts this way. But in countries like hungary the contrast is really seen. We only send a small volunteer force when it is really necessary and where it is really necessary.

because of our... unfortunate history, plus massive population and the amendments we made back in the 1790s, anyone not a felony over 18 is allowed to get a gun, and some can get a concealed carry license. this means, though the kids/teenagers don't have them, their parents might. in addition, children are sometimes abused at home, not to mention any bullying that is elsewhere. these add up to deeply disturbed kids taking guns and takng out anger on people at school or wherever. this is just one aspect of our broken nature. the laws we made to protect us have turned to being abused by kids and adults with issues
