i agree with corey. im only new to coding, plus school is helping me with that. ive been peeling through the XMLs and im just realizing the time it takes. i know everybody here (including myself) is waiting for the next thing to come out already. but i am also patient because i realize what the mod devs have to do.

corey if you are looking for beta testers for 2.1 or for ascendancy pm me, i tend to have free time outside of school

been a while since ive been around. real life stuff, anyway i was just playing essence as NR and had isard then thrawn hit kashyyyk killed them both easy lol. isard i just blasted her with my bombers and cap ships.

Are you going to include the Galaxy gun/ Eclipse 2 for next release?

ZC is slow to start. yes they get cap ships at level 5 stations but it takes time to get there. as i said, like a carb motor.

corey i think you missed my comment about the modded AT-ATs

ive heard rumors of an AT-AT MKII with light turbo-lasers. if this is canon why not give the IR this unit as an upgrade of sorts? say in era 2.

"Sometime after the Battle of Endor, the Empire replaced the AT-AT's lasers and blasters with light turbolasers, easily capable of defeating many highly protected defensive weapons emplacements."

"During the reborn Emperor Palpatine's insurgency in a clone body from 10 ABY to 11 ABY, the Empire developed a new variant of the AT-AT that was equipped with the most powerful Imperial turbolasers and the new X-80 power cells."

Era 3 i believe this variant should be added as the AT-AT MKIII

there was a mod in EAW original i believe it was called the Absolute Enhancement Mod that included the AT-AT MKII as a separate unit on a few select worlds from research facilities

I know that the IR gets more adaptable units in the later eras but these are canon so i think it might be a good addition

Im a fan of the AT series of Imperial Walkers if you couldnt tell.

senza is right i can take them down without a problem. the shields are a bit of a pain in the arse but once theyre down its relatively quick to kill

there was the one time i had to kill palps and he is mean but i managed as EotH no less to have only one ship in the battle i did some scouting and brought in a small ship. sure as hell he fired that laser and killed it but not before i jumped in like 4 Phalanxes and 4 Syndics. i let em at him and he died. as well as the rest of the era 3 heroes >_>

i just focus fired on his arse and ill tell you its a pain in the arse to select all them fighters and bombers >_>

honestly though i must ask what if luke was to stay turned and lead the empire against the vong? what would happen then  :o

I always play the Imperials or Warlords(even in all the SW EU books I normally read all the Imperial chapters and viewpoints and often skip the heroes VPs, except the Thrawn and X wing series.)

If the Empire had spread news of the Vong(with NO evidence they existed other than palps and Thrawn's word) people wouldn't have believed it, they would have thought it a mere excuse to further tighten the Imperial hold on the galaxy.

The Empire did indeed have the tools and a decent amount of know how on using them, say what you will but Kaine, Zsinj, Syn, Grunger, Grant, Teshik, Pitta, Veers, Covell, and of course Thrawn were all brilliant tacticians and loyal while Palps lived. Harrsk, Teradoc and Delvardus for that matter were actually not bad tacticians (having survived 7 straight years of constant warfare with the NR and each other)though they were nightmarishly egotistical and short sighted. 

Palpatine was far to overconfident(I think finding out how to transfer his essence and achieve immortality probably was the final feather in his cap there) but he did have a lot of realistic and competent officers of the fleet and army.

The Empire's oppression of Alien species was truly it's undoing more than any other factor.



the outbound flight found them i believe and so did the chiss ascendancy. the chiss could have done some research into them for the empire. with that proof that might have united the galaxy. yeah the xenophobia killed the empire not the EotH. i honestly believe the Alliance/NR really f***ed everything up. tarkin and his directive of power through fear was really flawed. the empire should have lived on. hell if the NR used more of the imperial tech they might have turned the vong back. and propaganda is always a nice tool

personally i play imps or EotH in this mod and in vanilla as well as other mods

I think palp was way too overconfident and the empire needed another leader.

However, if the Empire had spread news of the Vong to the known galaxy and had Thrawn lead the imperial effort to defeat the Vong, there would not have been so many casualties.

The empire had the tools. they had the DSI and DSII the eclipses and the soverign SSDs with superlasers.

The rebels should have thought about why the imps were building fleets made for massive space battles and a massive army to counter ground assaults.

Veers could have lead the army if he didnt die and probably would have made the AT-ATs more powerful. A rumor in the galaxy was that his AT-AT MKIIs were going to field turbolasers of ISDII grade but im not too sure about that.

Why was the empire defeated? because the rebels allowed "aliens" into their military ranks.

EotH did this as well.

palp was stupid and too damned power hungry to be any good.

corey i agree with you sins is one of the best games ever. the ascendancy mod is gonna have high expectations from the fanbase thats played TR. im sure you and your team will pull it off.

i have yet to get rebellion due to real life..... issues.

have you played the maelstrom mod for sins? if not give it a try its pretty addicting

as i said the ig88 hacking death star is the worst thing but i can kill them with either faction. IF you have half a brain and arent a whiny ass noob you would know how to play the game and counter anything and everything thrown at you. ive been stuck on this game and a few mods since it and they came out.

if memory serves me correctly, most of the imperial ships had blue engines so it made sense for blue explosions.

the rebels regular color engines therefore regular colored explosions.

all you have to do is eliminate them off the bat. play them on a gc, remember what planets they start with go back and kill em all.

they arent overpowered,

the hack death star is a bit annoying so i send fett to take ig-88 out.  ::)
