Star Wars Discussion / Re: what would your flagship be and why?
« on: April 25, 2016, 09:52:54 PM »
A personally modified Venator with up-to-date basically everything.  I mean if the things were still around in the Legacy Era for whatever reason, that proves their resilience to me.  As a second probably a Conqueror-esque SD

1. The Tarisian Supremacy

2. A firm handed negotiator, similar to Kaine I would say.  The Supremacy's goal is to put Taris back on the galactic stage, but without the failings of old Taris millennia before.  Humanocentrism has died a hard death, as the Supremacy needs everyone it can get to swell its ranks.  That being said, I am still High Commander, and Head-of-State.

3. The Supreme Fleet/Army

A) ISD II's/I's for sure, but maybe the Supremacy got away with a single Bellator as a flagship and deterrent :)

B) Vic II's and Providence's, an atypical choice, but those guns combined with the fighters make a difference

C) Strikes and Carracks for general support

D) CR90's or Marauders, anti-fighter duty and missles (who doesn't love missles?)

E) AT-AT's, AT-ST's, TX-130's, Hailfires, Speeder Bikes, TIE Crawlers, and Tank Droids

F) TIE's: Basic, Interceptors, Phantoms (got to have surprises in store for unwanted guests), and Defenders.  In addition, LAAT's for CAS on the ground.

G) Stormtroopers of course, along with Storm Commandos and Scout Troopers.  A planetary guard would exist independently for each world in the Supremacy, equipped with scaled down Stormtrooper armor and standard E-11's

Capital: The (Former) Coruscant of the Outer Rim, Taris itself

Star Wars Discussion / Re: Favorite Warlord faction?

Alignment with the Maldrood as a second.  Kaine's faction managed to survive long enough to become the core of the Remnant's territory, so what he accomplished laid the groundwork for the New Order's survival.  That being said, I have to say that Teradoc and his Crimson Victorys will always hold a place in my heart.

The venerable old Venator of course, nothing beats a designed based on Mandalorians right?

Star Wars Discussion / Re: SWG:EMU Anyone?
« on: January 01, 2016, 11:06:05 PM »
Nah, I understand what he's saying, and in all honesty, he's right.  They main appeal to me these days is the fact that it is a different style of MMO, one that I haven't been used to growing up.  I only had the game when it was live for a few months before it shut down, so all I had was the streamlined SWG that SOE quite literally were forced to make in order to adapt, which I dont blame them for at all.  SWG:EMU at best is a refreshing break from the endless reskinned WoW that is the MMORPG market today.

Star Wars Discussion / SWG:EMU Anyone?
« on: December 31, 2015, 04:40:48 PM »
So for several months now I have been playing SWG:EMU, and have fallen in love with the game as it should have stayed.  I was just wondering if anyone else here has played or is currently playing SWG:EMU or any of its derivatives like Bloodfin.

Star Wars Discussion / Re: Old Expanded Universe in new cannon
« on: December 30, 2015, 11:35:11 PM »
Well according to a new book released alongside the new movie, there is a map  that points out a world called Rakata Prime, which any learned and civilized Star Wars gamer knows to be the homeworld of the galaxy's first race of conquerors and empire-builders out of KotOR 1.  With the book following Disney's policy of all content now being canon going forward, Rakata Prime is now a canon world, which leads me to conclude that KotOR 1 and 2 as well TOR are canon.  In addition, even though his appearance in Clone Wars was shameful at best, Darth Bane, in at least some form, is canon.

Welcome to the Boards / New Alignment Officer
« on: December 30, 2015, 12:06:47 AM »
Greetings everyone, my name is SteelHand, and if the title didn't give it away, I am a loyal officer in the Pentastar Alignment.  I hope that through joining the forums here I will come to better understand ICW, and mayhaps one day venture into the realm of multiplayer for the first time in 5 years roughly (I lost my EAW copy long ago, and only recently acquired a new one).  That is, after I figure out a way to get multiplayer functionality back, as my computer skills themselves are basic at best.  I enjoy Star Wars as a world more than as a series, and through games like these I love to play out the many what-if scenarios that could change that world.  I enjoy RP when I can be available (cause you know, school and stuff) which extends to things like RPG's, Forum RP, etc... Above all, I adore mods in all their glory, and often the first thing I do with a new game is mod it to hell, which usually breaks the game until I find the right combo for me.  With all of that I can not wait to see what ICW has in store.  See you all on the bridge.
