Heh, I'm in my third year as well... final year for me on top of that. I don't know how old I told you guys I was back in the day, I was young and silly then. I had to be, what? Maybe 15-16 then? I'm a hair under 21 now, crazy how time flies ain't it?

It kinda sucks you guys are hangin' up the old mod, but I don't blame you guys for movin' on. EAW is ooollllld, lol. It's awesome that you guys saw it through to the end and wound up with a complete, polished mod though, not a lot of mod groups can say that.

Ascendancy huh? Sins of a Solar Empire? Interesting. I may have to pick that up and check it out.

Hey guys,

Some of you, actually probably most of you won't remember me, but maybe some of you will. I'm Xoriss, otherwise known as John or Jay. For those that don't, I made a lot of the earlier sigs and graphics, as well as a majority of the unit icons used up until... I wanna say two version ago?

It's been a while since I've talked to anyone here, but I still lurk the forums from time to time, just out of pure curiosity, and man do I gotta say that I'm real proud of the way this mod turned out and where you guys have taken it. I remember linking up with Zer Teron and Corey way back when they were just laying the groundwork for this. No offense intended by this, but never in a million years did I think this mod would make it this far. Look at it now, one of the top EaW mods out there, if not THE top mod! It's so polished and diverse, a real gem. I actually reinstalled EaW just to play this again, and man was I impressed. There are so many new models and planets I can't even count em!

I'm real happy that this took off like it did, I think it's awesome and I had to break my silence to mention it. How have you guys been? What have you guys been up to lately?
I've heard you guys are calling it quits after this version, is that true?

Anyways, I just wanted to swing by and say what's up. I still have EaW and this mod installed, so lemme know if you guys wanna get a multiplayer round goin. It'd be great to play with you guys again.

Hmm...If I had a guess it would be overstress. Being totally stressed out can screw with your mind massively.

Many people believe in some sort of afterlife because they are afraid of nonexistence, however the good thing about nonexistence is that you have nothing to worry about, and you won't care that you don't exist.

I like that. :)

I tend to think sometimes that perhaps after you die your existence becomes whatever you want it to be or what you expected it to be. Or perhaps it all starts over...not in the way of say Buddhism, but everything around you, you, and the universe is completely different. Ever think maybe everything around you never existed before you and will not exist after you, and they're just your imagination preparing you for something else maybe? Maybe there are different universes inside cells inside cells etc. I don't know, and I probably shouldn't, cause then where's the fun? I could get into a whole plethora (zomg big word) of ideas and theories about life and the afterlife etc if you catch me at the right time of the night in the right state of mind...like now for example, haha.

Who knows...good discussion, though...

"Hey, if you read history, you'll notice God is one of the leading causes of death!"

I voted other. I'm assuming all = wrong is under other. I'm not at all a fan of religion. I've gone to catholic school all my life. All the prayers and such drive me crazy, but I must tell you it's interesting to watch its effects on all the people around you. Usually I don't  like what I see. I could get into a whole discussion about my thoughts on it... but in a nutshell, I see religion as just books written ages ago with stories of good morals and to give people [false?] hope.

Well...it could make for an interesting story in heaven...

"So how'd you die?"
"Eh...I uh....um...I got hit by an X-Wing fighter."
