wedge is amazing, but anakin had the force and that gave him an extra edge. Anakin is a slightly better pilot.

your right, without the force, wedge would be much better than anakin but the force is such a huge bonus that anakin doesn't need wedges experience. he can fly on 100% instict.

the thing about the force that overloaded pilots is it can distract you if another force user projects something only other forceusers could sense.

I voted for Wedge considering he did not need the Force to guide his actions in the cockpit, but both Luke and Anakin relied on their attunement to the Force.

actually Anakin would have been a great pilot even without the force. and would have totally kicked Wedge in his ass. even as Vader and in his suit he was the better. remember episode IV anyone. the trench run. Wedge had to leave. And also only reason why Fel didn't kill Wedge was because somehow at the battle of Brentaal Wedge was able to get right out of the way when the Y-wing shot it's ion cannon on Fel. which was fairly stupid if you ask me.

Doesnt matter; perhaps it was just chance that he got hit at the trench on the Death Star attack. Anakin was renowned as the best pilot, but remember; Darth Vader is part mechanical, and Anakin was as well, if not anywhere near as major, hence Vader had better reactions and thoughts pertaining to strategies and how to apporach the situation, and his force sensitivity allowed him to do much better than he would have normally. Wedge was just a normal person that got tons of experience from self-discipline and training; he cmae in to it though nautral skill, whilst Anakin probably derived most of his skil from his force-ablity. It doesnt say that he did well without using the Force, but neither does it say it is what won him races and made him do so well as a pilot, though it seems pretty obvious that the latter is triumphant.

he nearly won the boonta-race even before he knew how to use the force. only reason he didn't was because sebulba wrecked his racer. that's quite an achievement from a human. even the fact that he could do it at all. and there have also been many times where wedge has just been lucky, not good.

I realize he nearly won that, but funny thing is that people could uncocniously use the Force and weave it around them, or the Force itself took a hand in his races. Wedge did get off lucky many times, but he is stillextremely competent no matter how you try to demean him.
And Vandar T, you vote Anakin best pilot simply because of his midiclorian count? Provide more valid reasons, such as; he is a skilled pilot, he did this/that, etc.

so the fact that Anakin had force means that he can't be as good pilot without it than Wedge? how? what if we take of Wedges luck? that has saved him often and take it off he would be dead.

Not necessarily-Wedge was about as good as Vader, not as good, but nearly up there. Without the Force, Vader's skill would most likely drop a large sum, and hence we would have to assume that Wedge would then be the better pilot. The funny thing is that you compare something that can be melded and used (Vader's force-powers) to something that isnt tangible (Wedge's luck). Vader also had luck, unless you hadnt noticed.

Unlucky in points that are seen more often, but luck plays it's own gamble with every living thing, and frankly, Vader would have had positive luck many times; his survival at Mustufar for one.

and forced to live with the fact that he had killed the only person he loved and encased in a metal suit. yeah. very lucky.
