Kontos Class Star Frigate

While rummaging around the Internet for "Hero" ships for a saga edition campaign, I came across a design by Fractalsponge. The Kontos Class Star Frigate matches the analogue for a strike cruiser, while having dimensions similar to a Vindicator class frigate. One of the novel ideas that I saw in this design is that its arcs of fire a generally better spread than most Imperial designs. With guns having overlapping arcs and even along the dorsal and part of the ventral hull with a count of 9 Quad Turbo Lasers all together. Smaller single barrel cannons that look like anti-starfighter cannons (4 on sides, 2 dual variety in front). In the rear there looks like Two double barrel turbo Laser cannons in the rear, with several dual laser cannons for anti-fighter pursuit (4). Sponge did mention a concussion missile launcher but I cannot figure out where it is at.





I would describe the ship of jack of all trades as it carriers a hanger on the ventral side, carrying 3 squadrons of strike craft. The engines are spread out enough relatively to mitigate the loss of a single engine (escape to hyperspace option?). However the shield generator is clearly visible, but it is integrated into the hull allowing it to possibly tank more damage than its counterparts.



With its versatility it would fit well within a raid fleet looking to kite enemy forces or just hit and fade. What faction do you guys think it would be? I personally think the Greater Maldrood due to its nature as hit and fade and getting as much out of a design as possible.

If you're suggesting it as a unit for the mod, we don't use fanon designs except where we need to fill gaps that we know existed, like with EotH's roster- there's dozens of Imperial designs that already exist, so it's not really necessary for them.
