You see the reason Vader is the best is because he was the only Sith that actually overcame the Darkside and was redeemed. And he did fulfill the prophecy by killing Palpatine.

lots of sith overcame the dark side. ulic qel-droma, revan, and to a certain extent, sion.
although of these, only one can be said to have intentionally overcome the dark side (sion, and nothing says he embraced the ligt side in his last moments)

Revan was never really redeemed. It had nothing to do with him willingly dropping the whole Sith act, it was mainly a turbolaser and some mind wiping by a few jedi.

and revan being redeemed sorta depends on how you play through the game... you can make yourself dark again.
