Death in its own.
« on: March 13, 2008, 08:34:03 PM »
Me an anarchist have been having a pm debate about death.
i said-
Quote
i was just reading your sig and it got me thinking. and i came to the conclusion that i dont believe in death. you should check out the what religion are you topic located here http://gutr.swrebellion.com/forums/index.php/topic,728.0.html
anarchist said-

Thanks for the pointer. With death, it's a sort of shaky ground. Unless one of the religion's is proven right (such as the sarcophagus of Mary Madeliene being discovered), death is at best, a sort of site we should leave alone.
i said-
Quote
death cannot be tampered with only controlled.
anarchist said-

I believe that death can be 'tampered' with, in a way that say, if a person is announced officially dead for a few seconds, then is 'resurrected', then is it not tampering? I fully agree that it is controlled though.
i said-
Quote
i disagree, and resurrection isn't the proper word use. revived is a better statement. think we should make this a thread?
anarchist said-
Quote
Maybe. I forgot about the word revived-I have been playing too many games involving necromancy, and reading too many books concerning that as well. It might be good to have a thread on this so everyone can discuss it. I'll start one up if you like.

please continue this debate. we thought it was a good idea.

We were discussing death, and we were hoping the general populace would share their thoughts on it. Look closely at the quotes.

We know. We were originally discussing our beliefs of what happened after death, such as re-incarnation or resurrection.

Simple solution. Don't die. Figure out how.
One choice can change a life..........
One choice can change many lives.........
What's your choice?

Try to keep mroe to our ideas-what do you believ happens after/during death? Is there such a thing as death, or merely a brief period of stasis before re-incarnation? Discuss that; that is what we intended.

Is that all you wish to think about on the matter? Cmon, some of you have to believe there must be something other than death-some of you are relgious. I am not saying there necessarily is something that coincedes with death, but still, post your ideas. That's what we want.

I want to believe reincarnation. probably without remembering anything about your previous life. Or maybe so that your mind remains and just wonders things. a bit like dream. But I believe that there is nothing after this one life.

These are some good ideas-see? This topic has become a full-blown discussion now that you guys are sharing your thoughts on the dark abyss of death. I would like to believe there is re-incarnation, and I think this is one of the more common ideas. I like the idea that our first life may have been a neanderthal man, then a person in time where the Roman Empire was prominent, then the Medieval Era, then the Rennaissance, etc, and all the eras in between.
