A Guide to Installing ICW 2.2 the Right Way! With No Problems! (Hopefully)

Hello everyone! As we all know, 2.2 has come out as of April 12th, 2018! And with new releases comes many installation mishaps and launching errors! This Guide will help you (hopefully) install 2.2 the Right Way so you can take command of the Empire, Chiss, Various Warlords, and the New Republic!

DISK VERSION  

This section is for the DISK VERSION ONLY, Scroll down to see the GOG VERSION and the STEAM VERSION. Thank You!

Installing
  Step 1.) Download the Thrawn's Revenge Mod for Moddb : http://www.moddb.com/mods/thrawns-revenge/downloads
  Step 2.) Once it has finished Downloading, unzip/unpack the file using WinRAR or another RAR opener then Save it to your mod folder or a similar place
  Step 4.) Find your Forces of Corruption folder.
 Example:   C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\
  Step 5.) Create a Mods Folder, just in case you don't already have one in the EAWX Folder.
  Step 6.) Copy and paste the extracted Imperial_Civil_War22 folder into the Mods folder. 
Example:   ...\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\Mods\Imperial_Civil_War22\
  Step 7.) Move your Play Imperial Civil War.bat file into your Forces of Corruption folder and the shortcut to your desktop.

 Playing
  Step 1.) Double click the shortcut (on your desktop or Start menu) or the .bat (in your Forces of Corruption folder) to play.

Steam
This section is for the STEAM VERSION ONLY, Scroll UP for the DISK Version and Scroll DOWN for the GOG Version. Thank You!
 
Installing
  Step 1.) Download the Mod from the Steam Workshop:

  Step 2.) Find Forces of Corruption in your steamapps folder. 
Example:  C:\Program Files \Steam\steamapps\common\star wars empire at war\corruption\
 
Playing
  Step 1.) Open Steam to the Library page and select Empire at War.
  Step 2.) Right click on Empire at War and select Properties.
  Step 3.) Click Launch Options and add MODPATH=Mods\Imperial_Civil_War22.
  Step 4.) Close Properties and click Play on Empire at War, selecting Forces of Corruption.
  Step 5.) To play the original game, or another mod, reverse the previous four steps.

GOG VERSION

This section is for the GOG VERSION ONLY, Scroll UP to find the STEAM VERSION and the DISK VERSION. Thank You!

Installing
  Step 1.) Download the Mod from Moddb: http://www.moddb.com/mods/thrawns-revenge/downloads
  Step 2.) Unzip/Unpack the file using WinRAR or another RAR file opener after it has finished downloading and save it to your MODS Folder
  Step 3.) Create a Mods Folder, just in case there isn't already one in the EAWX Folder
  Step 4.) Drag the Mod File Folder into the EAWX folder and take out the Play Imperial Civil War. bat file (or whatever it is named) and put it in the EAWX Data folder. (For any other Mods, put them in the MODS Folder)
Example:  C:\GOG Games\Star Wars - Empire At War Gold\EAWX\Mods (The GOG mod path will vary from saying GOG to GOG Games or GOG Galaxy, it is still the same though. This is a very important detail and must be looked at constantly before setting up the Launcher. )
 
Playing
  Step 1.) Navigate to the FOC Data Folder
  Step 2.) Locate the Play Imperial Civil War.bat File (Or whatever you have named it.)
  Step 3.) Double Click the .bat file and it should automatically launch for you. (First Time Launches always take the longest time, so be ready to wait for a while. Please dont think it has crashed because if you try to forcefully escape the program while it is loading, you might have a chance of corrupting your game, and/or you will permanently damage your Version of the game, so please, Be Patient!)

Excellent write up. Please note in the Disk install you state to create a Mod folder (step 5 & 6) please change to Mods as you state in later lines as well it matches up to the *.bat file

game keeps crashing for me. followed all the steps correctly, crashes every time i start a play through after 20-30 mins.

I have the retail version, and I cannot start the game without it immediately crashing, with an error message saying that "An exception has occurred. See _logfile.txt and _except.txt for details. Press Cancel to exit or Retry to debug. Retry doesn't work. Vanilla starts up without a problem. Any ideas?

I cannot take full credit for everything in this Topic, Corey was the one that helped me out the most so ALL CREDIT goes to HIM, all I did was just type up the thing. Believe me, there were TONS of Mistakes!
