In 2.1, when Era 3 came around in a progressive GC, the Pentastar Alignment kept it's territory and heroes (if they were still around.), so I assume the same will be true for Maldrood and Eriadu, unless there'll be some new system that makes it so that if Terradoc, Delvardus, Kaine, or Harrsk dies before era 3, they'll join the Remnant.
