To put it short and simply, I want to see more of the Grand Admirals in this mod: in the Legends lore, many of them, for all their tactical cunning and purported lethality, had very small repercussions in the grand scale of things. I am fully aware that the devs wish to stay as close to Legends lore as possible, but they have also made it clear that campaigns told from other points of view aren't as inhibited. I thus wish to propose what I believe would be fitting alignments for certain Grand Admirals in Thrawn's Revenge. (List will exclude Grand Admirals already incorporated into the mod or who died at Endor or independently).

Grand Admiral Martio Batch - Space: Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, Meniscus
Tasked with oversight of the development of the TIE Phantoms and the cloakable SSD Terror, Batch fled the Empire following his failure to protect the project in fear of execution by Darth Vader. In Legends, his crew mutinied against him and aligned themselves with Zero Command. For the sake of the mod and for simplicity, I believe Batch should feature as a leader for Zero Command next to Blitzer Harrsk and provide the standard fleet commander bonus. If possible, I believe it would be fitting for him to have a garrison of TIE Phantoms that deploy in place of standard fighters, bombers and interceptors. Since ZC is nonplayable, no voicework should be necessary.

Grand Admiral Josef Grunger - Space: Executor-class Star Destroyer, Aggressor
By far one of the more tactically competent members of the Grand Admiralty, Grunger emerged as one of the first warlords following the death of Palpatine. His Legends story is messily tangled with Trioculus', but, to put it simply, he amassed a large strike fleet of ISDs, VSDs, Carracks, Strike-classes, and other craft in the Corellia system. He would have most likely successfully taken Coruscant with his fleet were it not for the madness of fellow Grand Admiral Danetta Pitta, that resulted in the deaths of both Grand Admirals. I propose that Grunger be the lead hero of the Corellian Sector splinter group based in the "Lose Thrawn, Not Join Pellaeon" Era II scenario next to Pitta, who, for simplicity's sake, doesn't turn his weapons on his fellow Grand Admiral. Since CorSec is nonplayable, no voicework should be necessary.

Grand Admiral Danetta Pitta - Space: Torpedo Sphere
In Legends, Pitta was a vehement xenophobe and bigot in spite of his alien ancestry, so fiery and critical that even COMPNOR regulars were taken aback by him. Following Endor, he went on a killing spree across the Outer Rim, depopulating non-Human worlds. He used his fortune accumulated from his conquests to bribe the leader of the Corellian Sector, resulting in the above battle. I find it hard to believe two men of such caliber and command would deny an alliance with each other, so I propose that Pitta be the co-lead hero of the CorSec. Since CorSec is nonplayable, no voicework should be necessary.

Grand Admiral Afsheen Makati - Space: Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, Steadfast
- Recruit from Etti IV
Makati's Legends lore is messily merged with the Prophets of the Dark Side and Triclops, and rather poorly executed. His story following Endor, simply put, is that "he [Makati] met his own end soon after [killing Triclops] while fighting to keep the Corporate Sector in Imperial hands." Since the Corporate Sector aligns with Zsinj's Empire in-game, I propose that he similarly be recruitable with Admiral Angela Krim at Etti IV should Zsinj take the Corporate Sector. As a hero, he would need voicework.

Grunger & Pitta would never have worked together.  Grunger was willing to die just to prevent Pitta from winning.  No chance those 2 would ever be allied.

Grunger amassed his armada at Gargon THEN attacked Tralus and died with Pitta they they clashed. Pitta was cooperating with the Diktat as protector of corellian sector after bribing them. Both could be added above their respective planets with their large fleets in era 1 under the disparate warlords not affiliated.

Batch died almost right after Endor, murdered by his own crew while in hiding. He had zero power base or potential for growth, adding him makes little sense.

Makati will be era 1 hero for IR

I am compiling information for a possible submod that involves a number of the grand admirals.  Some heroes that I think should be added though;

Qorl:  A TIE fighter pilot shot down on Yavin IV after the destruction of the Death Star.  He survived there for some 20 years before making his escape after the Solo twins fixed his broken TIE.  He then rejoined the Imperial Remnant during the phase when they were led by a group of Royal Guards that had made a simulated Palpatine hologram that fooled the Imperials.  Since Yavin IV is in most GCs, it would be neat if the IR could get a unique TIE fighter heroe by conquering the planet.  No new Model, now new voice, just one new picture for the hero possibly.

Shadow Squadron:  TIE phantom unit still in operation at the time of the battle of Endor.  They could easily go to any faction as a unique fighter unit.  There is very little lore on them since they were created just to add a reason for TIE phantoms to appear in battles other than the one story they are originally from by Fantasy Flight games.

Gareth Agamar: The leader of the 481st Experimental Starfighter Testing squadron.  He operated out of an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate named Mephitis and was last seen operating a squadron of TIE phantoms against the rebels successfully near Polis Massa.

Pitta makes sense as a leader for Corellia, Grunger does not. As mentioned, he would be better off as a Warlord based off of Gargon. One could add Grand Admiral Takel as an Era 1 Hero for the IR if they capture Gargon.

There's an idea, but what would he command seeing as how Grunger stole all his first forces and decisively defeated his second attempt.(which is why Takel linked up with the Council of Grand Moffs)

Takel still had his flagship, the Magic Dragon, if memory servers.

No it was stripped from his command after his second failure against Grunger by Isard and the Ruling Council. Fearing he'd be killed or severely punished for losing most of the fleet given him by Isard and Imp Center in his failed campaign he threw in his lot with the Grand Moffs as a military advisor since he had no forces left to himself.

If I remember it was in an article on him or on Trioculos that mentioned why Takel hooked up with him because he was stripped of resources and feared punishment, I'll have to go back and double tap(in desert training with army atm)

Many of the Grand Admirals will be present in one way or another- when we do the faction overviews or listing factions, we're only talking about the major or playable ones, there's plenty of smaller ones floating around, some of which are the forces of the Grand Admirals who broke away and are on the map in that form (ala the Antemeridian Sector in HfZ). Because most of them were killed off pretty early, though, we're still in a time where some Imperial subfactions are a bit more fluid and less clear-cut than later on.

Eitherwho, to quickly give a rundown of all the ones who aren't Thrawn, in no particular order. Some of this may end up being 2.3 stuff, though:

1. Zaarin - Dead.
2. Makati - Imperial hero starting in control of Imperial forces in Corporate Sector until Zsinj takes it over.
3. Takel - Included with Central Committee forces, though that may be part of the greater Remnant in general (it's hard to say whether it was more of a movement within the greater Empire as led by the Ruling Council, or truly separate).
4. Pitta - Corellian Sector splinter faction.
5. Grunger -Splinter faction at Gargon.
6. Batch - Considering how quickly his crew killed him, we'll likely just consider him dead at the start.
7. Declann - Died at Endor.
8. Ishin-Il-Raz - Did a bunch of nothing for a few months then killed himself, so nowhere to really put him.
9. Syn - Recruitable by Maldrood.
10. Teshik - Executed after Endor.
11. Tigellinus - Same as Takel.
12. Grant - PA hero.

Thought on Batch: What if he was something similar to Eldrood, but for the PA. His base of operations was just across the border from the PA, iirc. Would be fun for the Alignment to have TIE Phantoms. :D

Wouldn't make any sense. The facility, schematics and all phantom prototypes were destroyed along with the stygium crystals for their cloaking.

Then there's the whole crew murdering him pretty much right after the incident, pretty sure it was less than a couple months after Endor and his crew joined Harrsk.
