In this thread we post riddles and we can see who can answer the most. Same as the thread on EEAW. This thread will be kept tracked of. Here is the first riddle:

Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.

There is no word that ends with the -gry ordering, but energy does have the same letters just in a different order.

In its original form, the first two sentences have absolutely "nothing" to do with the question: "Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them." Ignore those two sentences. They are there only to throw you off.

What's left is the actual riddle itself: "There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is."

The key is the phrase "the English language." In this three-word phrase, the third word is simply the word "language." "Language" is definitely something that "everyone uses every day"! Without that quirky little twist, the puzzle would just be another trivia question, and not a riddle.

My Riddle: If there are 6 apples, and you take away 2, how many do you have?

depends what happens on those two you take. if you simply remove them from that pile or stack of six you still have all 6 apples.
