okay ive been around since 1992 and when the prequels became a thing who thought the CSI was more scarier in the books, comics, and the 2003 CW cartoon.

2008 clone wars while good made the CSI feel like a fucking joke with their droids being either extremely stupid or making lame ass cracks at each other or the infamous "OH MY GOD!!

Even some of the leaders in the older legends like watt tambor who was more expanded on became treasure obsessed fool in the 2008 cw

Yeah pretty much. 2008 CW had a lot of issues.

Yeah Crime Scene Investigation is pretty scary but it can also be pretty boring.... Jokes aside by CSI do you mean CIS? Where does CSI come from, I'll probably start using it.

The CSI were originally WAAAAY Darker, what with Grievous mass jedi kills-around 250, the Honoghr bio attack, the assassin Droids and Magna guards, Asajj and Durge massacring dozens of Jedi and hordes of innocent, the torture of Kenobi, Dooku warping multiple Jedi into vicious darksiders, the suffering of average people and the orbital bombardments of the CSI fleets. San Hills immoral collection agents killing debtors, slavery from Shu Mai, Wat Tambor forcibly experimenting on dozens of species for his cybernetics program, Nute gunray starving dozens of worlds inhabitants to death with Trade Federation blockades and extortion and the geonosians starting the ball on the Death Star. They were basically corporate evil taken to the max and given each military without oversight.

I remember reading and enjoying the novel shatterpoint which was a Mace Windu clone wars story basically about him going to a CSI world that basically was an apartheid society. Was pretty dark and interesting and commented a bit about the gritty aspects of the clone wars. I agree the CSI used to be pretty terrifying until they decided the expanded universe stuff had to appeal more to kids
