I have an idea for a new Unit for the Empire

ok as the topic said.

heres my idea,

you could add the Executor class SSD Terror, it the one that has a cloak on it and is where the TIE Phantom are made (i have a model rig all ready with a stealth mesh)

Whether or not we include the Terror in R2 will probably be a public decision. Also, we don't use other people's stuff, so if we did it we'd be using our own model. Thanks anyways, though.

the cloak would not be able to be active for very long because of power requirements for a ship that big. it would have to balance out.

it would probably make sense to take away weapons, sheilds, maybe even limit the speed of the ssd while it is cloaked to account for power requirements.

it would be cloaked to move it behind enemy lines. then as soon as you are ready uncloak and everything comes back online and you unleash!!!

Well, it can - It just cant see what its trying to shoot at, and would negate the benefits of being cloaked, as the enemy could just target the "empty" space that the attack was coming from.

I have to question how valuable a cloaked SSD would be in the game to begin with.  It is a weapon of terror, meant to inspire fear, for the most part you want to have that weapon visible for all to see.  The only reason that the Terror had the cloak was so that it could be used as protection for Imdaar Alpha and as a construction site/testbed for the TIE Phantom Project.

Ok Isamu how important would that be to your game?  How critical would it be?  I'm sure I could mod my game real quick to include a SSD to cloak (actually with all that I would need to do it would take a little longer than 'real quick') and run a battle with a cloaked SSD coming in and then later with just a plain old SSD coming in.  I just really don't think that I am going to have more wins with the cloaked SSD.  It just seems like a lot of work for something that isn't going to make a difference in game.
