Frame Rate Issues
« on: September 29, 2016, 08:47:42 PM »
So, please let me start with saying I LOVE both of these mods, I think they're fantastic and you guys clearly put a lot of work into them.

My only issue is I seem to be having some frame rate issues for both Thrawn's Revenge and Thrawn's Revenge II. No matter what settings I adjust, the game tends to slow to a crawl and it's even worse near the endgame. I have a fairly decent rig (stats below) so I'm wondering if there is a solution.

Thanks again, GREAT MODS.

For ICW if you could give a bit more specific information about what's happening in the game when it starts to lag, I could look into that a bit more (faction, common units, GC vs tactical land/space)

For Ascendancy though, that's just sort of how Sins is. We're trying to optimize wherever we can, but Sins is a 32 bit single-breasted program, so it can't take advantage of most modern comps specs and will typically get really laggy late game regardless, in base and in any mods.
I also have a YouTube channel where I talk about mod development and gaming, do tutorials, and Let's Plays. If you like the content, consider supporting it on Patreon
