Pride of yethan Glitch

In Empires At war on admiral I was the PA and the DL SSD was over Ilum When I attack it retreated, but since their was no planet left that they own it jump to pestine which was owned by EotH it lost and jump back and back and back. I only killed it when I could get a interdictor over Ilum but that took a while.
This also happen when I fought The IR They jumped back and fourth and when I alto resolve it wouldn't die.
How do I fix this?

Make sure you always have an Interdictor handy. Honestly this isn't so much a glitch as it is what a fleet with no home would do. That's happened to me before, only they still had some ground troops left over in their fleet and actually retook a planet for themselves.
