Adding more heroes in the correct era

Hi,
So Im interested in adding a hero unit, the Corona Class frigate Boldheart with a unique fighter Squadron for Era 4.  How would I go about adding this unit to the correct era?  ( i know how to add heroes, just with this mod adding to the correct Era is confusing).

you have to add it to the XML into tech level 3 I think (Because NR is going from 0 to 4 if I remember correctly) after that you have to insert adding that hero unit into each specific GC in the story scripting and bang. It will be there.

Alright that sounds easy enough.  The only thing I'd say I'm stumped upon is the location of the story scripting.  Is that an actual script file or is that in XMLS?

Those are the files next to the GC's XMLs.
In every GC there is/are one or more lines with these tags:
<Rebel_Story_Name></Rebel_Story_Name>
<Empire_Story_Name></Empire_Story_Name>
<Underworld_Story_Name></Underworld_Story_Name>
These give you the location of the main stories of the GC for all main faction. From those XMLs you can find more routes, but you have to find the one for the NR which would look something like this:
Story_Sandbox_56_Rebel.xml
There you can find lots of stuff, but once you can reverse engineer it you can do it in your dreams

Oh ok got it!  I also forgot to ask the location of the Tech level xml file.  Or is that something individual with each unit?

Actually, never mind I figured it out!  I love adding extra heroes.  It makes the universe feel more alive in this mod.  So far I've added the Mon Casima and made the Liberator and emancipator from Balance and Flavor two distinct units in addition to newer models for the X, Y, and A wing groups plus Moonlight Squadron from YVAW free releases.
