Star Wars games that aged well over the years
« on: September 05, 2015, 08:10:50 AM »
1. Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast: The graphics are amazing (id Tech 3 at its finest), and the lightsaber combat system is spot on. The Multiplayer community is still going strong to this day.

2. Galactic Battlegrounds (w/ Clone Campaigns expansion): The Scenario Editor is an age-defying example of the game, as it allows players to experience the story of Revenge of the Sith. Hopefully we could also do the Battle of Jakku (the planet seen in the upcoming The Force Awakens)

3. Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy: Same with Jedi Outcast. However, the modding community is strong (Knights of the Force and Movie Duels being prominent examples).

You could put Battlefront II in there as well I've seen a few people still playing it.

I would've loved to add Battlefront II to the list, seeing that there are some mods that actually improved the graphics and textures.

KOTOR.  It's available as a mobile game now, and works very nicely as one.

Jedi Outcast is also available as a mobile game; I actually watched a video on YouTube a year ago. The cheats from the PC version are present in the mobile version.

Because that's the most important part of a PC to mobile game.

TIE Fighter, as far as I'm concerned. Screw shiny bloomy graphics, nothing will make me feel more like a crucial fulcrum of the Imperial military than that game.

The Rogue Squadron games. Still love dogfighting in those

Yeah, I bought Rogue Leader again (after previously having it and trading it in years back) and was surprised at how hard it is!
