Will the Dauntless be in all eras? I'm assuming not being at era 5 you would have 6 capitals and the viscount.

All eras in ICW, since it served at similar levels from the Rebellion to the Vong War, and the New Republic lacks Heavy Frigates (ICW)/Cruisers (ascendancy). Keep in mind the stats a lot of people think of for the Dauntless are from Rebellion, which for balance reasons put this as a much more powerful ship than it realistically would have been in the same way that the MC80 in EaW is a lot more powerful than it should be. Rebellion does that a lot with Rebel ships. Based on its size (1200-1400 meters) and origin (converted luxury liner) it's probably more comparable to a slightly-weaker VSDII.

VSD-II level power is a good thing for the NR, they desperately need something between the MC-30 and the BAC.  Hopefully this is a fairly early researched ship in Ascendency, to allow them quick access to a heavy cruiser (since the BAC is so late-level).

It's always nice to see underutilized Expanded Universe ships in this game, especially when they're Rebel.
