Did you go into the mods portion of the SoaSE:R and make sure to disable any existing mods and is this mod listed?

I've followed the directions except for enabling LAA, as I honestly don't know how to do that, but the mod is still not listed when I go into the mods section.

Greetings once again! Alright, I've figured out how to enable the LAA, and I now have the mod listed under the Mods section. It is enabled, but it's only listed on the "Enabled" side, not both the "Enabled" and "Available". When re-running the LAA application(though I realize that only needed to be done once), I extracted all the files, and it created another mod and was put into both the "Available" and "Enabled" sections of the mod. My issue is that the mod will still not run. I've restarted my laptop numerous times to see if that was the case for everything to take hold, but no matter what, I cannot get the mod to run. Is there something I'm just missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First, LAA: LAA isn't a Sins mod, it doesn't have to be (and in fact shouldn't be) enabled ingame. It's a separate general-purpose application that acts between your computer and Sins allowing it to have access to more than 2 gigs of RAM, since it's a 32 bit game. Enabling LAA involves running the LAA application and flagging the Sins .exe in that, not enabling it in the mods folder.

As for the mod itself, what is the path to get to the mod's gameinfo folder?
ie
...My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.82\Ascendancy-Sins\GameInfo

Yes sir, I realize that LAA is not a mod of the game itself. I had just started referencing back to the mod right away, so I apologize if that's what it seemed like I said. Exactly what you listed is the path I have to the GameInfo folder. This may be a stupid/simple question, but do I need to extract the files to the Sins Mod folder? I fully admit I'm still quite a noob at all this mod stuff, but I ask that because I tried loading another mod, where I was directed to extract the files to the Sins mod folder, and I was able to get the other mod to work. I haven't tried that yet with your mod, which is also why I ask that.

I have it in the correct folder as it says, changed the wordpad text, and the LAA ( I think I did that right) then when I start sins it doesn't go to Thrawn it goes to regular sins.

If you really did everything right, then you should be able to start the mod from within the game.
After you launched Sins, go to Options, there on the sidebar you should se a Mods part. Click on it.
In the right main screen you will se two columns, One labeled as Available mods and the other as Enabled mods
Look for Ascendancy-Sins within the Available mods collum, left click on it and press Enable mod to the right of the columns.
Then if you click on the Apply changes Ascendancy should start up. Just make sure you have LAA enabled :)
If you use the CD version, the game will also keep this setting and will start Ascendancy next time when you start the game. For steam version, I am not sure.

What is the exact path to get to your Ascendancy GameInfo folder?

ie
C:\Users\Corey\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.82\Ascendancy-Sins\GameInfo

Go into it, right click the address bar and copy path as text, then paste it here.

I need the path all the way into the gameinfo folder, not just the path for the Mods folder.

I need the full path to and including the GameInfo folder, exactly like I gave in my example.

The most common cause of this problem is either there being an Ascendancy folder inside the first one, which is why I keep asking for the direct path to the GameInfo folder, or the name you have in EnabledMods does not match the actual Ascendancy folder name (typically having left off the F). The third cause is people installing it to the 1.82 mods folder when they have Sins 1.83 ( or vice versa)
