Is there any way to remove or tone down the ship laser fire ? I know its being worked on for next patch but is there a setting to either reset to default or manually tone it down ?

I'm not sure I know what you mean. All the laser fire is making your computer lag? You don't like the screen filled with intermittent blue/green/red laser effects?

Have to second the confusion - the number of shots each ship fires is meant to represent the ships' canonical armament, so that an ISD doesn't need 60 different turbolaser hardpoints.  Dropping the amount ships fire will drastically alter their balancing.

sorry for being unclear , i do not like the physical size of the laser's themselves. The amount is fine but they are huge and have massive trails. So no changes to actual balance just the physical look / shader of the lasers themselves

No, it's not a setting you can change; if it were we wouldn't bother changing the effects ourselves, after all.

Thanks for the reply, I did not mean to change it as a setting or something I more meant is there a way to edit the xml somewhere to revert back to standard shaders / laser. ill just poke around and see what i can find. Thanks
