Weird Question, concerning unit spacing
« on: October 01, 2014, 12:00:10 AM »
Hey everyone.

I have been coming to this site for awhile now.

I love this MOD so a big thanks to the team who made it. Thank you guys especially for providing the game defreezer, it's an EPIC contribution to EAW game play as a whole.

Any way I have a question about the distance between units in space battle.

For instance when I want to bring in another capital ship next to another one, it will appear red until I move it far away enough.

Is there any way to reduce this distance so capital ships can be closer to each other?

I looked up and down through XML etc and I have given up.

Can't help on changing that, but honestly I wouldn't recommend it anyways - even with the range that capitals are supposed to leave each other, they'll still clip into each other occasionally and path-finding has been an ever-present problem for the EaW engine (always fun ordering an SSD to move somewhere straight ahead and having it turn all the way around to do it ;)).  Plus, it provides incentive to use smaller ships in addition to the big ones.

Ok thanks for your input.

I just wanted to see what it would be like.
