My last significant assignment for school is due monday, so after that when I'm not at work pretty much all of my free time is gonna be spent on the mod until it's done, so you'll get an assortment of pictures and maybe even Let's Plays.

You have the empire of the hand logo for your profile picture, which allowed alien races into their faction.

Neat idea, but -10% allegiance for +10% culture spread rate is a trade-off exactly nobody is going to make, you know

We're nowhere near putting actual numbers for any tech. At this point all we're doing is putting the tech in. You don't play with balancing levers until all of the levers are in place.

True, but change the ratio to 1:2 and it becomes tempting. 1:3 would probably be too much.

The new faction select setup, complete with all the information you need to make an informed decision about who to play. The other three factions still need to be added.

That looks amazing, and certainly different from base Sins. Feels like a whole new game.

Now, I've heard that the engine can support as many as ten playable factions (for example, the Interregnum mod which is working on having two Imperial and Rebel sides each on top of the original six). Are there plans to add a seventh (or eighth, ninth, or tenth) faction down the line?

There really aren't many unique factions beyond the 6 we're already doing. We're never going to do multiple versions of the same faction like the base game, that would just be a waste of space.

I like how there are multiple SW mods either out or coming for Sins, yet all are distinct enough to feel very different from each other. I've played the Interregnum alphas, which seem to be coming along quite nicely, but doing so hasn't decreased my anticipation for Ascendacy a bit.

I haven't checked out most of them (with hte exception of Sins of a Galactic Empire), might have to look at a couple others. I know I have been playing a lot of Star Trek Armada 3 mod recently. Overall a well done mod for the Star Trek universe although still a lot of bugs.
