At least one should be a dedicated corvette, because the ROF on light cruisers is a bit slow (this has been fixed for 2.1, apparently).

I can attest to the fact that this is true. A fleet of Enforcers can be a major pain to those Quasar fleets now.

Reaper, 6 IPVs, and a mix of 12 Escort carriers and Enforcers backed by 2 VSDIIs. That'll kill any carrier fleet

Maybe throw a Victory I in there. Very good for killing any fighters that manage to slip past the corvettes.

Why everybody claims that the Enforcer is a good anti-fighter unit, I'be built them and they are not usefull

Fighters will gleefully blast away at its shields without any hope of penetration while its hive of TIEs works them over.

I personally think that fighters are balanced but in the later stages those NR fighters get too many things, the K-wing can even function as a dogfighter and a bomber

I love K-Wings. Then again, I like the NR, so make of that what you will.

Of course, fighting them is a pain in the butt. They are slow, but have that quad laser cannon, allowing them to shoot their way out of some tight spots. And if you let them slip by your fighter screen, well, even one squad can do a crap ton of damage.

I think that B-Wings, if used correctly, can be even more of a problem, though (ion cannons, S-Foils, also able to dogfight).

I'm not sure what the point of bombers is in this mod. I love everything else, but why are the bombers so underpowered?

You obviously aren't using them right. The bombers when used correctly are INCREDIBLY powerful, just not OVERLY so like they once were.

Mostly using imperial factions. I don't care to much about fighters now. As long as they're trying up opposing fighters I don't care to much. IPVs seem to suck now I'm using lancers more.
