I don't say Hitler was misunderstood. Everybody knows that Hitler was a lunatic. But that doesn't mean that allies were very kind and nice to everybody. Hell mayber worst crimes made by western allies (I don't even mention Russias crimes, list would go forever) was those made by canadians. They were very cruel to germans. No offense, Arbiter. They justified their cruelty by the failed assault on Dieppe 1942. And there are records of many british and other commowealth troops shooting german paratroopers after they had surrendered in Crete 1941. So what I'm saying is that all sides did make war crimes but only losers were punished. I mean Jodl and Keitel were hanged because they planned and accepted plans to make the war. why didn't anybody punish those russian commanders who attacked Finland in 1939?

I don't whine, I just used it as an example of how the winners are never punished.
And I do know that Finland won two wars against soviet russia.

Meyer, because the winner writes the history, why would the winning side punish troops that just won them a war, regardless of whether they earned the punishment or not to the victor go the spoils, thats how it has always been and always will be.

The reason that none of the Russian commanders were punished, was because the soviets didn't want to kill them all, until the next purge, and western allies brining them up on crimes would have lead to WW3. Another possible reason was that at the time, Finland was allied to Germany.

That's a wicked lie that communist tell. At least American leaders realized it during the war. If Finland was allied to Germany, which we were not, why din't USA declare war to Finland? It did declare war to all countries allied to Germany.

From what I read, Finland and Italy were in the war for themselves, though Italy was much more involved. Finland spent most of the war repelling the Russians, and since Germany had some interest in it, they helped Finland a bit.

There was no signed treaty that said we are allies to Germany. We only wanted to humiliate Russia and get back the lands they stole from us in Winter War. Why do you think we didn't help the germans in the siege of Leningrad?

Because you didn't care? Like I said, Finland was in it for themselves, they were happy with driving Russia back along with a bit of German help, though weren't about to start fighting against Germany and Italy.

Mussolini was a cracy. ended up hanging in gas station. But don't judge theitalian people too harshly. they did revolt against fasist and Mussolini. althought they did it after allies began their invasion of Italy.
