Favourite mod for FOC

whats your favourite mod for FOC besides Thrawn's Revenge?

Hard to say.  I REALLY want to like Legacy Era (Pellaeon class SD), but it's SUCH a badly done mod as far as the balancing is concerned that it's intolerable.  Star Wars:  Universe at War SOUNDS good, but haven't seen an update about it's progress in quite some time.  I also really want to like UEaW, but it's just so...beta, still.  This is really the only mod I regularly play.

Cheesecake was showing some promising updates recently.  However, the balancing does make most fights a tossup.  You never know how easily that expensive ship will just explode and die

I'm hoping the Vong mod works out.  They have all sorts of impressive units and models that look really well done.  Unfortunately, large ships can act like whales strapped to a bus and simply having lots of units doesn't make a good mod.  Too early to tell for them.

Finally, RAW was fun to play and even made ground battles fun (which is almost impossible in this game).  However, balancing, seemingly unlimited fighters, and their really tough AI made the space battles almost impossible for me.  Maybe I just suck more than I thought?

With the changes to garrisons in TR:  ICW, I'm actually excited for land combats I believe for the first time EVER in the game.

tlmiller- UEAW is done till someone picks it up. you need an svn client and i still cant get it to work.

click full install itll download then you install and brings it up to date on v4.0.65 i believe is the one i have. make sure you run it as admin.

mmm2409 i like this UEAW and PR. id like to see legacy era actually work out. how bout yourself?

I just fell legacy era mod is quite unbalanced, but I love the models. I do not play PR, particularly since I have no idea why it is about.

its got serious lag problems because of all the stuff they have in GCs but its a good mod. currently they disabled land so they can focus on space then theyll do land.

legacy is pretty good, but has bad maps and some contradictions in the game.
i found a good mod (for regular Empire at war). i think it was stargate or somthin. it was pretty well balanced.
UEAW was somewhat lacking, but nice (i don't like the corruption thing in Foc)

I'd have to say probably Awakening of the Rebellion, when I can get the AI to work properly. Its a much slower paced game than base.

Its not my mod, I didn't make it, but the AI is weird and you have to shift files around a lot for them to work.

Hey guys, since I can't download ICW onto my computer, I've been looking at other mods, and I came across Absolute Corruption. How good is it? Right now I'm looking for anything that is better than FoC.

When I try to download the mod, only about 2 kilobytes download, and then it says that it is finished downloading. I think it has something to do with the type of file, because RaW uses the same type and I can't download it, whereas Absolute Corruption uses a different type and I can.

Well we have three different download types so if one isn't working one of the others probably will. ModDB has a Rar and an Exe, Desura has its install process, and I put another Rar version on Dropbox if that's needec which I uploaded for Thrashia when he said he was having problems but haven't had to use it yet. Pretty sure ACM is either an exe or a rar/zip (which is basically what any mod uses).
