Actually you'll get Na⁺, along with Cl^-. That is, assuming you're speaking about standard table salt, and not any other type of salt.

does not really matter, since when you lick it, it dissolves in your saliva either way, creating something new, and the ions get bonded to other stuff. so it isn't really relevant...

It would depend on if your saliva can solubilize the salt. Not all salts can be, in which case it would sit there as a solid clump and not break down into discrete ions, instead staying in the crystalline lattice. Table salt, being a group one metal (soluble) bonded to a halogen (soluble under most circumstances) will of course dissociate.

i certainly enjoy myself here. it also has lots of good stuff to read, tips i didn't know, and stories about star wars I've never heard. this place is amazing
