If you dont know its there, you cant be afraid of it.
Ok Isamu how important would that be to your game? How critical would it be? I'm sure I could mod my game real quick to include a SSD to cloak (actually with all that I would need to do it would take a little longer than 'real quick') and run a battle with a cloaked SSD coming in and then later with just a plain old SSD coming in. I just really don't think that I am going to have more wins with the cloaked SSD. It just seems like a lot of work for something that isn't going to make a difference in game.
A cloaked SSD is better than a non-cloaked one. It is a regular with a cloak added on, therefore it must be better because it has a beneficial factor added onto it. That is like saying 1+0 could be more than 1+1.
That is assuming you jump it in in their line of sight.
why do u hate america? if it were not for us u guys would be lost. i mean we invented the tv, we invented the internet, cars and we even went to the planet moon. we won all the wars and we always help the little countries who cant fight and we give food to poor people.
As far as the work; I tend to do rather extensive work when it comes to things. I would end up writing up a description, figuring an appropriate cost, deciding on a singular construction area, playing through several skirmishes with both SSDs and then through a number of GCs with it as well, all the while keeping track of time, damage, and minor fluctuations in the little experiment. Then I would come back with my little set of statistics. In the end it would take a little more time than a few minutes. As a bonus to the game, sure slap it in. Do I see it as game breaking or pivotal...no. I just wouldn't waste what appears to be limited time, with concern to the team of course.
Have fun taking 3 months to (over)do the testing of a single ship. Between the three factions we have 120ish units to do, and we DO plan on finishing before 2038. In any case, it's fairly obvious what need to be done with any particular unit after a single battle, cause what you say you'd do is completely unrealistic and most certainly overkill, especially for something as simple as an ability.
