AI is entirely hardcoded, including differences between difficulty levels. The only changes that can be made are to a few variables between the AI types (aggressive, fortifier, etc.)

Will there be any changes to level out the difficulty in the game? I always felt I could play sins on easy and normal in my sleep, but once I tried hard mode I just get battered to pieces.

Is there a way to edit the clawcraft squadron out of the game? For some reason they slow down the gameplay considerably on my computer.

I used XML notepad and made the changes, but when I went into the game nothing had changed. What did I do wrong?

I also went back and downloaded Notepad++ and made the changes and when I went to play in Galactic Conquest nothing had changed. Let me know if I need to do something different.

You have to "save as" and name it the same thing and put it on your desktop then copy it back and overwrite the original file.

Or, you can download a program called notepad++ that will allow you to properly edit it without wanting to turn it into a .txt file.

This is how you can make a Squadron of Fighters buildable.


First open up a Space Unit XML EX: Zsinj, Remnant_Space_Units.
Ill use the Tie Raptor as an example.

Change this Under the Tie_Raptor not the Squadron

<Hyperspace>no</Hyperspace>
<Hyperspace_Speed>0</Hyperspace_Speed>

to this


<Hyperspace>yes</Hyperspace>
<Hyperspace_Speed>1</Hyperspace_Speed>
(Edit the speed to how fast you want it to hyperspace).


Now for the Tie Raptor Squadron


Change this
<Required_Star_Base_Level>0</Required_Star_Base_Level>
<Build_Tab_Space_Units>No</Build_Tab_Space_Units>
<Build_Initially_Locked>Yes</Build_Initially_Locked>


to this

<Required_Star_Base_Level>1</Required_Star_Base_Level>

How do you edit this in the XML? When I open it up it is locked and I cannot change it. When I selected edit it bought everything up in notepad, but did not allow me to save the changes. I've never done anything like this before and would like make the changes.

Zsinj is already there. The Warlords in that GC are his faction, he's even there in Iron Fist already.

Yeah I meant as a playable faction. It would be fun to have an all out battle royale.

In what Eras does the Thrawn Clone appear? I thought he would appear in the final imperial push, but I didn't see him.

Is there anything that can be done to make the Empire of the Hand more playable? Specifically with the fighters? The units are great but I have to send all the bombers and clawcraft to a corner to the map in order to play the game without reduced framerate.

Is there anything I can do on my end to help with this? I already have the graphic settings as low as they can go.

Otherwise great mod and great update.

It's most likely because our clawcraft model is too high poly. We're going to fix this for the next version.

Yeah going back and replaying it that is the problem. Keep it to capital ships and it runs smooth.

First I wanted to say great mod and great work.

However, when I try to play the empire of the hand my computer lags heavily during the space battles. When I scroll away from the armada of ships it speeds back up, but if I have the view directly on the shops it runs slow.

My computer specs are:

HP running windows 7
3GB Ram
64 bit operating system
585 GB of memory with 515GB free
NVIDIA Geforce 6150 SE graphics

Is it that my computer isn't stong enough?

Not a complaint, just had looked forward to playing this faction.
