Imperial Civil War Tech Support / Re: The hunt ability on aircraft

Same problem, my V-Wings go to one location and then they start flying in circles and they then have to be manually controlled.

Imperial Civil War Tech Support / TIE Crawler Hunt Problem
« on: March 30, 2013, 11:48:59 PM »
Recently I started using TIE Crawlers, but their Hunt Ability seems bugged. They would not target buildings without manual control. They only target bunkers and turbolasers.
Also, if the TIE crawler uses different weapons, I think they need to be adjusted. It seems to be using heavy cannons against infantry while using light cannons against vehicles.

I'm not a fan of Chandrilla map. Can you add sown pictures? Because its insanely difficult for me to read long passages on electronic devices. :)

Well, if they were sent to the Coparate Sevtor, why not make those ships as rewards for capturing planets there?

Those AT-ATs played little part in Palpaine's campaign, sunce he had World Devestators and the Galaxy gun. Adding them is as good as adding a land executor Dreadnaught. The turbOlasers would probably be able to blast every other vehicle, if not severely damage them.

Ascendancy Discussion / Re: Ascendancy? :o
« on: September 22, 2012, 09:17:58 AM »
Oh, yippee Spambots. What sort of ships will be colony ships? Having a lambada shuttle bing classed as frigate does not do justice.

The PA has new ships, but they are insignificant as they are not capital ships. Why would Thrawn spend tons Of resources to build a floating blob of super-sized triangles when he can destroy one with minamal effort? Ysane Isard was he stupid one, she thought launching a virus on a planet would help, but at the end she failed, and was not able to keep her prisoners both after and before. Wedge remarked in the Bacta War that Corran made it out so easily that it made Kessel look like a resort. Isard wasted so much resources that could have been used by Thrawn to utterly destroy the NR's floating blobs of wired shapes. Palpatine failed dearly, right start from killing Darth Plageuis too early. Daala used brute force-Again a wage of resources. Palleon worked fine with diplomacy. You realise how majority of the IR leaders thought that by simply enlarging their triangles, they would win? Thrawn was the only one capable of waging war, tactically and economically. Apparently most of them thought that the resources were as infinite as from 19BBY-4ABY.The EoTH were largely based on Chiss tech, which showed no evidence of gigantic ships, but rather much superior tech and strategy.

The EoTH might be OP with units, but they sit right beside IR. And the tanks are quite easy to defeat with Plex(which PA does not have)

Discussion, Suggestions & Feedback / Re: Wait what? AoW No Katana?
« on: September 17, 2012, 04:11:59 AM »
If I am mistaken and its in AoW then sorry but if I read this right there is no katana mission in Art of War for any faction(playing new republic) You mean to tell me the brutal fights and ass woopings and zerg rushes of capital ships and overunning and bitter victorys and defeats at the hands of an ai with a limitless checkbook to get to myrkyr have all being for nothing?! Are you f***ing kidding me?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   :'(

Under different circumstances I would not be so bent of of shape about it, but if I knew this fact earlier id have thrown talon karrde to the wolves long ago, wont doit until I get confirmation that aow has no katana dreadnaught access though, not when I am right there.

No Katana Dreadnuaghts in AoW

I could help with coding(I am better with the units part though), some mapping and moddeling, but I can only start 2nd October 2.00 p.m GMT+8, as I still have some school business to settle.

They should still scourge Squadron and more heros like Wyrn Otro and Ib Dekeet who could have a star destroyers also Elta Besk who could build droids on the planet she was on .

I feel that there's enough ISDs.

Neat stuff. Now, I noticed you mentioned that Petroglyph's stock models would not be used for Ascendancy. Does this mean there is the slightest possibility of a new model for the Executor-class? I know that's one of the few models ICW retained from FOC. Its not a bad model per se, but it is quite upstaged by all the fantastic models you guys have made.

Its one of the best of petroglyph's models but there are some glaring inaccuracies, not the least of which is the fact that its far too skinny. Despite its dagger shape, when you look at the Lucasfilm model its clear that the Executor was actually a fairly wide and bulky ship. Having never played the game I'm not sure of the capabilities of Sin's game engine, so you may not even be planning to include SSD's in the mod. But ever since the moment one year ago when I was browsing Moddb and found a screenshot of your magnicent ISD model, I have wondered what a new Executor would look like.

Anyway, good luck with your classes!

Yes, I think. The TR team would get sued by Petroglyph if their assets were used in another game.

Empire at War and Forces of Corruption / Re: Zann Consortium-Overpowered?
« on: September 09, 2012, 05:13:28 AM »
Plasma Cannon->Bombers
Mass Drivers->Bombers
Defliers-> Just destroy and cripple their Palaces( as long as you attack them early, they won't be able to expand)

Who ever said that I must concentrate on the other factions and not ZC first? The reason why they get out of hand is because players decide to leave them alone, not realizing that they can become a serious threat.

Discussion, Suggestions & Feedback / Re: 3.0
« on: September 08, 2012, 09:29:46 AM »
Again, 3D animation like that isn't something we can do. It's a specific skillset that we don't have, and it's an extremely involved process. It's not because we don't know what's involved, it's because we don't have the time, resources or skillset to do it, in the same way that I know the basic mechanics of hockey, know how to hit a puck, etc but that doesn't mean I'm able to compete with Crosby.

As for "3.0", there won't be a 3.0. We're doing 2.1, and have no plans past that. The main goal with that is to round out a few things, add any improved content made for Ascendancy into ICW, and that kind of stuff. As far as any major additions, there's a new feature related to the era mechanic I'm going to be working on, and a Survival gameplay mode that Pox has done, both of which will be explained later, but that's the meat of it. ICW is a mod. We as a team don't have access to the same resources as an actual game dev company, we're significantly smaller, and don't have access to every facet of the game. The vast majority of the game is hardcoded, and we have to work within those (often very restricting) limitations.

As far as it goes, I assume the team are unable to make animations due to the lack of skill, which means unless someone pops by and says that they are capable of 3d animation and want to help, there will be no victory video

Can someone explain to me in a summary why ZC is overpowered? The rebels can thrash easily, and the mass driver are not mućh of a problem if one knows how to properly utilise bombers.

Discussion, Suggestions & Feedback / Re: Mod "completion"
« on: September 08, 2012, 01:34:48 AM »
ive played this mod since its inception  ;D

ive seen the amount of work put into this by corey and his team and damn im sure they put more work into this mod than the actual game creators.

there are few mods out there that can even dare to compare with this from a few other games i play.

i think more voice overs are needed but as corey said somewhere their voice actor is currently busy with reality, a lot more missions (some required some additional off to the side like in the original EAW campaign) a few more GCs and more units/heroes for skirmish along with the general debugging process.

This is what i think should be done.

But as is im giving kudos to corey and his team for the work they have done to give all of us here an enjoyable mod.
A project like this without a team would have taken forever if not died in the process
Agreed. This mod, despite what flaws we might have identified, is better ( if not the same) as many FOC mods out there, and the effort of 6 years is clearly shown. I do remember a time where this mod was not to be a post-Endor mod. And this is sofar the only mod I've seen that has such activeness. Not even RaW has that.
