we may, however, convert some non-playable factions into playable ones. Chief among these is the Empire of the Hand.
That's good to hear. :)
BTW, it doesn't matter if EotH is non-playable. I can make the units playable myself.
-
There won't be enough units in the initial release to make a fully fledged playable faction. There will probably be four space and two land.
-
Well we could add some Imperial units and call it EotH. :police:
Of course, for someone like me, there would need to be a tutorial. Which I might be able to find.

I can't make a playable faction. I'll add the units to the Remnant. ;)
-
Then it's not really a new playable faction, it's a renamed Imperial Remnant.
-
You could say that. But it's not that I don't want to make the faction playable, it's that I can't. All I can do is add units to a faction. I haven't tried to add a new faction to the game.
-
I have it is easier said than done i made the hutts playable =D
-
Well, neither can I. That is why we have tutorials.
-
I like the idea of eoth starting as non-playable personally
-
Why? I think it is a waste of all those cool units. And all those ideas.
-
because then you can be all hyped up for when it becomes a FULL playable factiion

Quoted for truth.

Personally, I couldn't have gotten any more hyped. Also, I would rather have it all come at once.

You can always hold off downloading the mod until we add in the EotH as playable if you want :P
-
That would be worse than being tortured! :'(
-
But if you add it as a playable faction. wont it be a bit unbalanced? Because if i remember right he starts of small real small. All it would take is a big fleet to attack early in the game.
-
They would be well established by the time of ICW... They're older than the New Republic.
-
And also, if we want to be completely canon, no one knew about it until 15 ABY.
-
Only because they never bothered to show themselves. They are in two GCs in the mod; Pellaeon's, and the one that covers all five leaders.
-
i say yall should leave them as a non-playable faction. Until yall can make more units for them. Can't yall always like update the game later on.
-
EotH's status depends entirely on the distribution of work. At the moment, if we had a rigger we'd almost definitely be reenabling them, as the time to complete the units and other things like that is far shorter than the time to finish all the maps (and since it's mostly rigging issues with them, and the rigger would otherwise have to wait several days to do anything otherwise while models get skinned). The last thing we want to do is push back the release farther than we have to, especially at this point.
-
As long as it isn't going to effect the release date, I don't see why they shouldn't be in. We've all waited long enough already. :P
