It's just that I posted earlier, and then I realised I shouldn't have, so I just cleared that up. And basically, I was just agreeing with everyone; confirming what they say. I do believe theya re right in all actuality; I was just saying that I would defer to them because I am in-experienced in this particular area. So technically, it was not spamming, because I was confirming what other people wee saying that was on-topic.

I think the GCW ended around 19ABY, or rather was officially ended.

The Galactic Alliance is way different than the New Republic. It wasn't a final stage, it was not in the same category.

The Galactic Civil War started when the various Rebels groups signed the Corellian Treaty and the Declaration of Rebellion (c2 BBY).  It then continued for the next 21 years, until the signing of the Bastion Accords in 19 ABY.  During this time the Rebel faction went from being the Alliance to Restore the Republic to the Alliance of Free Planets to the New Republic.

NR was born shortly after Endor. some 15 years before the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty which ended the war.

there were fighting between rebels and imperial after 10 ABY. Daalas campaign, Pellaeon's campaigns. and numerous little fights that were fought. the fighting sure didn't end at 10 ABY.
