Guys what do you think about Star Wars rebels ? ( is this right place to speak, even thou there is Star Wars section for these) I've only seen people complaining it that it looks Childish, Well IT IS TARGETED FOR YOUNG TEEN AND OLDER CHILDS ?! and i thnk it looks pretty cool

Not interested in the slightest with anything further Star Wars. My Star Wars ended when the EU was done away with. It's going to be another terrible show like TCW, yet because the average populace can't tell a good TV series from a hole in the ground it will get rave reviews and blah blah blah . . .

Looks like complete, utter garbage to me.

I'm a bit optimistic. Dave Weisman has traditionally done good work, and TCW improved notably by the later seasons. I'm okay with most of the character designs and the voice talent is pretty solid - they've gotten some big names attached. So far my main concerns are that apparently they're working on a tight budget (TCW already had problems doing large scenes, though this one seems to be a lot smaller in focus, since it's centered on a single rebel cell instead of the entire Clone Wars) and that the Inquisitor has a really, really dumb looking lightsaber.

I will most likely watch the Rebels, but so far have no expectations. If it is decent kids adventure show, fine. If it spits on the grave of EU and says the Rebellion was established by a bunch of kids (or that Vader had a secret ridiculously powerful apprentice, oh wait), I'll be ...disappointed.

I am WAY more excited about the new X-Wing revealed for Episode VII. It is not a futuristic scifi fighter that could never fly in real life, but more of an early cold war era fighter. That is gigantic plus in my book and makes me more excited about Episode VII than anything else so far. Now we just need a crazy "missile with a man in it" single-engine NG A-Wing and my lust for Starfighters (F-104s) in space is sated.

just watched a trailer for Rebels and was surprised in a few ways, if Disney is getting rid of Canon, why is the ISB and Inquisitors still there(I'm actually pleased they are) also pleasantly surprised that Jason Isaacs is the voice of the Inquisitor as he makes such a perfect villain(I cite the Patriot and Lion King as prime examples) I've even heard rumors that the show's directors(While mainly targeting kids for the audience) will have some fan fav EU characters make appearances. Perhaps the show has a smidgen of potential.

As for Episode VII, after Disney disregarded canon, is dead to me.

Agreed on that definitely. I have no intentions of seeing it in theatres, on bluray, and probably won't even bother watching it on broadcast TV.

I think that makes it worse. They're baiting people with the 'star power' of various EU people and organizations and the appearance of mcQ's paintings.
Aren't you worried that the ISB will look way more lame with that ridiculous Pau'an Sith Guy? What about when they fail to catch these goofballs week after week? As I see it, the cool Legends version of the Empire is gone. What they've replaced it with might just be kid-friendly bad guys with an Inquisition label slapped on.
But they know people will watch it because Zsinj is in it for five seconds.

Well on a certain level yes, but remember the target audience of the show. While i would love to see an adult version but i dont see it happening. Alsi i can't fault the artists who are legitimately trying to make quality villains but are restricted by their bosses boundaries. As to EU crossovers im good with that as i watch it online so disney earns nothing, if it does a good enough job i may buy the eps that are good. Also the dark sider is part of the Inquistorious not ISB. The agent is ISB, i think if they play it right it could be decent. I admit i hate the heroes and how the stormtroopers are portrayed but again thats target audienc,

Eh, I'm not that worried about the whole 'Saturday morning villainy' concern. That's not Weisman's style, for one, and it's something both the artists and producers have talked about avoiding. They want this cartoon to be about hard-pressed heroes, and have gone to a lot of effort to make sure the villains they do have are legitimate threats.
