yeah. and it is mentioned many times that his eyes were completely red. wasn't that the reason that many human feared those eyes?

That was after it was beleived that was Zahn's intent. But I beleive that was not what he intended.

I think it was his original intent: it was on the cover of his book! But Survivors Quest has all red eyes:

So I think he changed his mind.

They're both artist interpretations though, not necessarily what Zahn intended.

maybe he wanted to give a choice for people: completely red, as I believe, or red pupils only.

I figured completely red was what he meant, i thought that was what was the biggest difference between chiss and humans, besides the blue skin
