Differences between Manual and Game
« on: August 27, 2012, 03:00:20 PM »
I made this thread to colect all the mistakes in the manual, so that it can be corrected.
Please only post here the mistakes you notice, but do not discuss them.
First mistake:
Pop cap of the viscount:
Game: 18, Manual 20

Tector is listed as available only in era 4, but is available for Pellaeon to build in era 5.
"That's not what the Empire would have done, Commander. What the Empire would have done was build a super-colossal Yuuzhan Vong-killing battle machine. They would have called it the Nova Colossus or the Galaxy Destructor or the Nostril of Palpatine or something equally grandiose. They would have spent billions of credits, employed thousands of contractors and subcontractors, and equipped it with the latest in death-dealing technology. And you know what would have happened? It wouldn't have worked. They'd forget to bolt down a metal plate over an access hatch leading to the main reactors, or some other mistake, and a hotshot enemy pilot would drop a bomb down there and blow the whole thing up. Now that's what the Empire would have done."

Vilim Disra is listed as an available hero in Essence and Art of War GCs, but he's not actually in the game separately from Tierce. I imagine this was due to the abandonment of Disra as an individual hero?

Venator is listed as carrying 12 squadrons, but in Era 5 it carries only 6 preybirds and 3 howlrunners for a total of 9.

Luke also provides a 25% damage bonus in ground combat as well.

Code bug. The final three Era 5 squadrons have been spawning in Era 4 instead.

The Executor does have Heavy Turbolasers, it's just they aren't labelled as such in-game.  The same is therefore true of the Sovereign, Eclipse and Viscount.

the venator seems to miss its torpedos (at least Daalas Scylla)
Apparently they never got added despite being in our unit balance spreadsheet.

1) Admiral Teren Rogriss (IR) is in the manual but not in the game
2) Aurek Seven (EoTH) is the same story
3)Chack Fel (EoTH) the same but i'm not 100% sure

1) Rogriss is in the amalgamated faction vs Zsinj in The Hunt for Zsinj.
2) Aurek Seven should be available in Era 5 for the EotH (I can't remember if they go alongside or replace the Hand of Judgement).
3) Chak should be in the later EotH eras too (Era 4 onwards).

Katana dreadnaught has 2 fighters not 1.
And the manual says A-9 vigilance, TIE droid, Y-wing (except in tutorial) and Skipray's are all buildable.

Quasar Fire Cruiser is NOT available in era 5.

I'm fairly sure that's just a mistake, don't sweat it.
