Just wondered why ships like the ISD had 1 squadron of fighters, and if my eyes didn't betray me there isn't many fighters per squadron.
I imagine it's probably for optimization, but it's always fun to know.
Fighters are pretty much the single biggest cause of lag, so optimization is a huge factor (which Sins late-game is notorious for, and we've mostly managed to avoid). It's also for a differentiation between tactical and strategic resources. The ISD has 72 supply, meaning it can field 6 total squadrons but without research/levels, it can only field one at a time. Dedicated carriers get 2 at a time. As for the individual fighters, we don't have all 12 visually but stat-wise they're all represented in the 4 or so that are there. These factors may be adjusted as we go, of course. It would certainly make supply more prominent if people had 100 squadrons at one fight, lost 75 and then realised they had none by the next.
Also any plans to make the Victory Star Destroyers nameable, and achieve levels like a capital?
I know capital ship slots are already pretty filled, but what about moving the ALTOR to frigate and adding the two VSD's to capital.
We have no plans to make the VSDs capital ships. They're much smaller and much less powerful than any non-MC80/Altor/maybe Gilzean capital ship, and they're not even the strongest frigate, especially not the VSDI. If even just the VSDII were to become a capital ship, by any reasonable measure the BAC and Chaf would be as well. The most comparable ship in role (which is what makes the Altor and MC80 qualify) and firepower that gets to be a capital ship is probably the Shree, because the Ssi-Ruuk are special snowflakes with their own metrics to be judged by. It would also mean we need more capital ship slots, which people would likely far prefer filling with Praetors and World Devastators over VSDs.
As for the Altor, I initially toyed with that idea but t's going to get an ability to justify its capital ship billing, and also will likely get an armament boost. That being said, it likely will have a new home soonish anyways.
One question about the Hapes cluster map is there any planets who have a Star Home as milita?
Hapes does, fittingly. I know for a fact it does on the full version of the Into the Cluster map, not 100% sure on the smaller version but I believe it does.
Lastly, is there any plan to make variants of the hero's who appear in flagship victory if possible, would be interesting to have other warlords, NR, and Imperial Remnant leaders.
If that isn't possible how about the presence of warlord's fleets as militia on planets they owned.
We are adding 3 heroes to each faction, however the flagship victory ones will be staying as just flagship victory ones. Warlords will potentially be used to populate some of the more in-depth maps as we go, depending on system resources.
