Sync Errors

So me and two other friends all have the game and mod to the latest versions. All on steam.

We've been trying to play LAN, but one of my friends can't play. Whenever he tries to play with us he causes a Sync Error, either downloading the map from us before the match or vice versa if he hosts. This problem doesn't happen for me and my other friend, and we all got the mod from modDB and we've all checked our files.

I once heard something about a CustomMaps folder fix, but that thread was deleted so I can't figure out what it means since none of us see such a folder in the files.

If it's a Sync error then there can be dozens of thing to cause it.
Make sure that all of you have the same version. Not just game version.
If you have gold pack and he have EaW and FoC separately(or vice versa) can cause sync errors too.
Can you play unmodded FoC together?

They definitely have the same version of the base game, he says they all have the steam version.

Yeah sorry for the delay, thought I made settings to be updated when there was a post. New to the forum here.

And yeah all same version. We're trying the custom maps fix I've heard about tonight or tomorrow. Other problem arose I realize how the forums and wiki say the MC-80 Liberty (My favorite Rebel ship) is buildable in skirmish but I can't seem to use it.
