When it comes to strategy I use overwhelming fighter bomber support so I favor carriers obviously but I still need the carrier to defend themselves. And I'm trying to figure out the ship point cost to fighter/bomber squads. My math goes like this aurriette eoh carriers cost 3 points each and provide 7 squads of ships 3 bombers and 4 fighters ( 2 interceptor and 2 fighters) which I think is standard among carriers so filling up a full 40 point armada  equals 13 ships, each squad consists of 12 star fighters so 1092 individual ships 12 x 7 x13=1092 that is a lot of ships 1092 ships for 39 points seems reasonable but are there other ships like the victory class cruiser which give 3 squads for the same cost but can defend themselves a lot more efficiently so which is actually better? I don't have the specs on the actual firepower the ships themselves have, but is it worth it to have a spam fleet of victorys or actual carriers or some combination of the two or a different ship combo all together?
Pentastar alignment greatest victory ever and  worst defeat ever,  isard lusyanka  versus 40 storm commando escort carriers = 80 squads of Tie Hunters 12 starships each= 960 individual fighters. Surprisingly the carriers won and the carrier armada was promptly snuffed out of existence by a few lancers frigates a turn later
