Favorite Star Wars Comic Series?

Just curious, mine has always been the X-Wing Rogue Squadron Omnibus if it counts. Also "Empire" and "Rebellion" were quite memorable too.

Rogue Squadron Brentaal arc together with Making of Baron Fel + Legacy 13 (Emperor Fel schooling Darth Kruhl in full IK gear) are among my favorites. What can I say? I am a proud son of the Fel Empire.

If we're talking entire series, it's Legacy with KotOR closely trailing.

Rogue Squadron is bit of a hit-and-miss, but it is a great introduction to Isard, Krennel and Fel + Salm and the Rogues. I used to consider Isard's Revenge as one of the weaker X-Wing novels, but it works exceptionally well if read after the comics since the comics do a really good job highlighting both Krennel's brutality and Isard's scheming.

Crimson Empire saga. Beautiful artwork,  great character development,  the Royal Guard gets facetime it deserves and samurai style showdowns as well as Nom Anor's character creation. What's not to love?

I agree, Crimson Empire was a neat series and yeah, the Royal Guards do get to shine...Or at least one of them. XD

I do like the Republic series, especially during the Clone Wars parts. There was Ventress's backstory and how eventually Obi-wan and Anakin do argue if she deserves a second chance, which led to a rather bittersweet ending. But the main thing that got my focus was Quinlan Vos's attempts to find Sidious, his near fall to the dark side, and how he overcame all the crap he went through.

I also liked the way Dooku is portrayed in the comics and CWs

I do like Dooku in the comics since they did built up a lot of why he was the best in the Jedi Order and that he was a full out badass.

I also did like his overall character in the EU because he had legit reasons to dislike the Republic and the more you think about it, it makes Palpatine even more of a corrupter who turned Dooku into something just plain monstrous by the end of things (if you take the Revenge of the Sith novel version of him into account). Hell, it makes you wonder what Dooku and Thrawn could have become if they never got Palpatine's attention.

Dooku is by far my favorite Sith. His reasons and character are truly intriguing.  He is a great example of what can happen when high principles and ideology can be warped by an ends justify the means philosophy and a manipulator.  His gradual change from anti hero to cold hearted elitist is fascinating to me and speaks to me . Christopher Lee's portrayal of him just magnified that as well as Dookus evolution in the comics and books. How his character was shown as so human in Yoda Dark Rendezvous and so cruel in The Return of the Sith show how quickly a persons soul can change due to his perception

The thought of Plagueis replacing Sidious with Dooku as the second Sith is played with in Darth Plagueis (at least in Palpatine's head). I don't think Plagueis and Dooku could have pulled the whole Grand Plan through, not to mention that casting Sidious aside wouldn't have been the easiest thing to do.
But man would it have been entertaining.
