And just because Canada buys our planes, doesnt make them dependant on us, i doubt Canada would cease to exist if they never had an f-18

The Avro Arrow was, I'm 90% sure, a superior plane. It's speeds topped Mach 2. (MAking it good for hitting anything that wanted to blow up Ottawa or Toronto. Theres no point blowing up any other cities except Vancouver and Calgary, really)

The arrow was designed as an interceptor, while the F-18 could also hit ground targets

I think that the United States and Canada should become one country.  That would solve the military problem.

There is no military problem (I'm pretty sure no to few countries want to go to war with Canada). and I'd rather we didn't get their national debt,and  have to share our food and other resources with them (The states getting a hold of all of Alberta and the territories oil won't help reduce the American dependance on oil either). Also, since theres 300 million of them and 33 million of us, it would end up with us just being another state. I REALLY don't like that idea.
