The General's of our universe in Star Wars
« on: September 23, 2012, 08:23:42 PM »
Had this bumping around my noggin for the past week now. I know that Timothy Zahn has said that Thrawn's character was a composite from various personalities, both historical and fiction. Erwin Rommel, Hannibal, Robert E. Lee, Alexander the Great, and even our most beloved detective Sherlock Holmes. What if these generals and even ones that aren't from the list were generals in the Star Wars universe? Like say Erwin Rommel was an AT-AT commander of the Galactic Empire or Robert E. Lee as General Jan Dodonna (Only because the two both look EXTREMELY alike lol) If you guys can, would you list any or all of your favorite historical figures that you wish you could see in Star Wars, not as a composite character but as a real character in the Star Wars universe. Personally I would love to see a Star Wars version of Napoleon Bonaparte. Him leading the Stormtroopers and beheading Palpatine would be a sight to see in my opinion haha

I'd have to say Vlad Tepes III as a Deep Core Warlord would be hilariously epic to watch.
Von Manstein, Heinz Guderian and Walter Model as Imperial generals in AT ATs.
The Red Baron in Baron Fel's unit.
Bull Halsey in charge of the NR's 1st Fleet
Nimitz in charge of the NRs 3rd Fleet
Patton in charge of the NR army
The current Pope as Emperor(they have a striking resemblance to each other)

hmmm... i think King Leonidas being Mandalore of the mandalorians would be pretty cool
Genghis Khan as Mandalore of the neo crusaders.
Karl Donitz as an Admiral of the Imperial Navy.
Horatio Nelson as a Grand Admiral of the Imperial Navy <--- perhaps would be Thrawns equal and or rival?  -_^
Caesar as senator and general of the Republic <-----   perhaps a very powerful political opponent of Palpatine during the rise of the empire. would be pretty cool to see these two duke it out in a civil war parallel to the Roman Civil war that caesar fought with Pompey for control of Rome
Robert E. Lee as a general of the Rebel Alliance.
Attila the hun as a deep core warlord would pretty entertaining to see xD

Indeed. Spartacus as a mandalorian would also be neat.

Julius Caesar as a senior commander in the 501st Legion.

General Curtis "Bombs Away" LeMay as an Imperial Warlord/Senior Fleet officer.

Lieutenant-Colonel Otto Skorzeny as an Imperial Storm Commando officer.

Themistocles as a brilliant Admiral in the Alliance/New Republic who flees because of some trumped up charge Borsk Fey'lya accuses him of because he's jealous of his power, and then joins the Empire after the Galactic Civil War is over.

Personally I would love to see a Star Wars version of Napoleon Bonaparte. Him leading the Stormtroopers and beheading Palpatine would be a sight to see in my opinion haha

I would like that :D
Having an entire squadron of Lego TIE fighters is either really nerdy or really awesome, I'm just not sure which.
