« on: December 11, 2017, 04:57:18 AM »
Sooo just downloaded the mod and put into the mod-rebellion file, but it keeps crashing my game and generating minidumps(not an IT guy so dont even know what it does) which means I cant even play the game.  Any help?

1. What version of Sins do you have? Do you have LAA installed? At what point does it crash?

2. The mod has no impact on your actual game files, so even if the mod weren't working, if you just remove the enabled mods file, the base game wills till work fine.

My version is the latest one, 1.91(just bought and downloaded the game yesterday). Dont know what LAA is but I just downloaded another star wars mod to try and it worked so I am gonna assume that maybe this current version of the mod is outdated

It's not outdated, it was only uploaded a few days ago. Unless you can provide more specific information, all I can suggest is that you try downloading and reinstalling the mod, as we know for a fact that it works with the current version of Sins.

The only thing i can tell you is that if I extract it into the mod file with the EnabledMod text file it crashes the game. If I remove the text file and enable it in the menu it too crashes the game. The game when crashes creates minidump files that I dont know what it is . I am using the latest mod file TRAscendancy115X.

Minidump files are just the crash logs.

Does it show the loading screen for Ascendancy when it crashes?

Nope, its just a completely black screen. Only when you tab out of the game can you see the error messages

Have you tried:
1. Redownloading the mod?
2. Verifying the integrity of your game files for Sins on Steam?

Installation path? Not that smart when it comes to this so you have to be more specific

Go into the mod's folder, then into the GameInfo folder, right click the address bar at the top (where it tells you what folder you're in), copy address as text, and paste it here

If you right click the TRAscendancy115X folder, and then properties, what does it say for Size, size on disk, and number of files?

Yeah, sorry- there's gotta be some setting or something since I doubt you just happen to have the only computer a particular mod won't work on, I'm just not sure what it could be right now. If I think of anything else, I'll post here again.

Hi there, back again. So just now after reading your post I decided to go to sins to see my settings. LO and behold, the moment I open the game the mod loading screen shows up. Did not touch anything after my game crashed last time so I have absolutely no idea what happened ( unless the windows update just now solved everything.) . Thanks for you help and dedication in seeing through my problem and sorry for wasting your time. Still dont know whats wrong with my computer but I owe you one.
