Greater Maldrood Preview Playthrough

I'm continuing my series of Let's Plays in 2.2 on my channel to show off and discuss some of the changes we've made for 2.2 in a bit more detail than we can in pictures or news posts. I am kind of sad that We cant get the Era 1 heroes like Grand Admiral Syn
I do wonder will you get any bounty hunter in the Warlord Zsinj Gc or get Leonia Travair pirate forces?

People like Syn or anyone who we're considering based on a hypothetical Endor rescue were all dead by the time of most GCs. They'll only be available in whichever GCs start right after Endor, and even then only if they're prioritized. As for Tavira, her and the pirate connections are not available until later, either; she was still doing other stuff at this time.

I do wish we could use some Galactic Battlegrounds units for the warlords
things like Imperial grenadiers or the Pummels
And Corey since you said that you can have Warlords over take smaller factions to get units and heroes I thought of something Dumb but funny April fools joke

This would actually allow for Drokias, battle droids, Magma guards, Clone Wookies, and many more  to be in other factions. In addition X1 does have a SSD so if a Imperial faction defeats him you could get a ssd and access to the Droid factories still around. They also could be tied to Warlord Zsinj since X1 sent troops after his brother when he was on Dathiomer.

The designs they made for GB were all pretty terrible. Luckily, they didn't really have to make many for the Empire.

As far as X1 goes, there's a lot of bullshit in the EU we can make at least a decent attempt to make sense of, but it's like they didn't even try when they were making Elite Squadron so there's very little we could even do if we wanted to shoehorn him in. His known territory/capitals were Dathomir and Vjun, which were explicitly or implicitly being used or controlled by other people the entire time, and Mustafar, which was on the opposite side of the galaxy, again in the territory of someone else.

Though if you put Mustafar on the map the droid works there still work so that could be a way to get B-2 battle droids or driodkas.


As far as Maldrood I am Impressed with the Heroes. You really are being creative with them.

Problem with this is that the droids there were utterly destroyed by the 501st before the battle of Yavin and THEN the factory itself was glassed to oblivion by a sustained an very thorough orbital bombardment.

What other small faction can we crush-I mean Negotiate with for heroes?
I mean I haven't seen anything like this with Zsinj so does this apply to Eriadu and Maldrood only?
