Carrack Cruiser design

Why is it with the Carrack Cruiser, the ship being 350 meters by 75 meters in size, it has a front facing view port that large on it.

There's the image of it. I mean it's huge for how big the ship is supposed to be. Shouldn't it be a lot smaller in size?
