Integrating EAW and Addons
« on: February 05, 2007, 10:06:59 AM »
I downloaded a bunch of addons for EAW, but they all come with their own seperate start up icon, because they are not integrated. I think I know how to intermix the addons, but I wanted to check, because I want my singe EAW game to include all these ships.

Also, I've run out of room on the bar that shows things that I can select to build. I know there is a couple of ships that are off screen, yet I can't click on them. Is there a way to scroll sideways to check the extra ships out?

1. You can only splice the mods by taking the stuff from one mod and pasting it into the files of another. There is no way to run two different mods  at the same time in one game.

2. No, you can't scroll or add a scroll bar. Hardcoded.Just make certain ships only buildable on certain planets.

Thanks, but what specifically do I need to change? The text files under Data? The XML files?

Depends on the mods.

You'll probably end up changing both. The XML would be used to integrate other units into one mod, while the DAT file would have to be edited to ensure that the new units in the XML have encyclopedia entries.
