Big capital ships, like the Syndic and later the Phalanx, are your intended damage capitals ships and for using against SSD classes. Somewhere on the forums is guide to killing SSDs, it'll help you.

They couldn't have just used the Assertor for the new design? Had to make it worse?

I'm glad I'm in a place again where I won't get insulted for hating Ep 7 and now Ep 8. The only good thing in the next movie are the puffin things for being comedy with Chewbecca. Even if they are from Planet Sneeze, I mean Anch-To, no I mean Ah Cho.

According to the wiki Thrawn started the pratice in the Empire during his Campaign and it was continued. That said, I don't remember it from my read through of the Thrawn Trilogy.

I think it could be a flashback style movie, so it could include Maul. The problem is, what's the point of Maul? Maul was interesting as he was solely a physical threat to the Jedi, a threat to their lives, and a threat of destruction to their order with the return of the Sith Lords. There's nothing more then that, so I don't see much of a reason to go that route again as it's not a philosophical battle. Most good stories involve those philosphical battles (Episode 3, the entire original trilogy, R1 to an extent, I try to forget that movie), and Obi-Wan, the sage archetype, should have that as the central part of his movie. Maul just, wouldn't be able to provide that.

That said, we still don't have a good answer for what would the movie tell, only that it should include a philosphical battle.

I found an article that I found myself laughing at for longer then I should have.

When the strongest strength it has is that "the prequels are bad and so Ewan Mcgregor can never have a serious acting career again" as a point, the entire thing seems forced click bait. The only problem, is that Disney does believe the prequels forever tained Star Wars and everything related to them should be burned.

So let's discuss the Obi-Wan movie, disappointment it's not discount Tatooine battle movie, disappointment it's not Thrawn, disappointment it's not Darth Vader. Or well, hope that Ewan does a good job with the movie and lets me like at least one of the Disney Canon movies.

Ordo walked out of his shuttle and looked around the Naval Station, holding his personal pistols by the blaster to deliver unto any security forces present. True to his word, he was the only life form or droid on that shuttle.

The rest of Ordo's forces remained in the gravity well, furiously hailing the other fleet to hyperspace in for the sake of the negotiations.

I don't really like the retcons of the CGI show (ARCs being selected instead of created, the Mandalorian retcon in it's entirety, the microchip retcon in it's entirety.) Too many disruptions for me.

Secondly wasn't the Black Sun redicously weak? They were easy to crush in Empire At War in all but one map, Xisor got ahhilated after Vader was sick of him, and in the Old Republic era they couldn't even expand off Tattoine. Maul couldn't get enough Nightsisters to form a sizable army from what I know (could be wrong) and the Death Watch couldn't be over two hundred strong (could be wrong.) 1 million Clone units, and over ten times that many battle droids.
