So back to the peltast, I like it's name. It's a reference to the Greek soldiers that through javelins to "harass" their enemies. Though no enemies that had javelins thrown at them would just feel "Harassed".

that looks like a lot of random fighters.
If you really want uglies, I would wonder if you could put different models in the same squad, so that the ugly squadrons looked more rag tag and thrown togeather. for instance a squad of five could have two tye wings, an xceptor, an x-tie fighter, and a x-ceptor.

I'm unsure that advance tech would be represented by damage alone. I would try to represent it with more fighters, stronger shields, and stonger turbolasers, but keep it fairly moderate. less than 5% dmg for turbolasers.

I've known for awhile that it has already been decided what the next faction will be. Unfortunately, I either was completely oblivious too, or simply lacked the appropriate star wars knowledge to understand Corey's hints at what it will be. Thus I have no idea.
I do very much look forward to the team's creativity with the creation of the hapans. I have no doubt that if they try hard enough, they can turn any faction that has some information about it, into a viable and fun option.
