Useless: dark jedi or normal jedi
Overpowered: being NR in any of the Bothaui map, holy hell, trying to invade that planet always results in a massacre or very high losses as you are surroounded past the second spawn plus you need todo all the trip again to destroy the enemy base

I personally think that fighters are balanced but in the later stages those NR fighters get too many things, the K-wing can even function as a dogfighter and a bomber

Those EoTH fleets with like 30 decimators, 8+ phalanx destroyers and ton of karieks/auriettes, its like you finally kill 3 of their phalanx destroyers, NOPE!, 4 more join the fight :?(

Try to form a defensive perimeter, position your ISD II in kinda like a circle with support ships behind them, wait for them to reach you as this gives time for your fighters to spawn and assemble some defense, get some tie defenders and wait for the enemy fighters to engage yours as you will be using them to destroy any bombers that get close.
Iit would also help if you position a SSD laterally so that it has a broader range of fire but most of the time is better to use more destroyers and carriers than a SSD, lastly VSD I work amazingly well vs fighters with their concussion missiles.

just got to week 365 as IR on from the ground up, it got the point of EoTH and NR being entrenched on some planets with a stupidly large amount of ships

regarding the corona you need to find a right angle I think, if bombers atack from behind it the missiles will not go crazy and just spin in circles

Carracks can do an awesome job if you protect them properly however in later stages when everybody has Capitals floating around they really lose their shine, if you add a Capital plus your carracks you get a nice tank to absorb fire for the carracks to do their job, in my opinion they shift from offensive power in the starting stages to a more support-like role in the later, destroying anti starfighter ships and being a general nuisance to the bigger ships

I think some golans, 1-2 ISD II and support ships, I think some carriers but definitely much easier than byss, Sovereign and Praetor plus ISD is complicated

on a different note, the Victory II is superior in every way comparing it to the Victory I? or could the missile launchers would make the use of Victory I worth?

heh, that really explains a lot, I was always really surprised at how they could get there without me noticing, what I try to do is delay the inevitable conflict with NR as much as possible, you get swarmed by bothan assault cruisers in an obscene way, in the start I tend to rely on tie defenders and carriers rather than a heavier ship.
Going south until hakassi and then work on getting to bilbringi, once you have it you can actually start fighting the NR :)
