K. To start, my answers to your questions go:

Yes, the campaign I'm working on is just tweaked in New Republic. I started by tweaking that version, hoping to work in small steps. Once I had the planets I planned to use figured out, I aimed to work on my other playable factions.

Your path shows you use the Steam edition of the game, but otherwise you've input your data the same as I, with the XML files in their respective Data folders.

The GC being interchangeable (for now) It is gratifying to know your version shows the planet, and I can't thank you enough for attaching the screenshot. Let me see if I can send more of the data folder via attachment.

Cross your fingers while I attempt to attach the full XML file system and text files.

Please be nice and KINDLY let me know if this is posted in the wrong place for the forum. I'm not what you call "Practiced" in forum etiquette.

As an unpracticed modder, I admire but don't always understand what I'm looking at in Thrawn's revenge. I appreciate the efforts to keep the data organized, and want to observe it when I mod as well -but don't always succeed. Therefore I ask any experienced modders who preview files posted here be gentle in their responses, as most of what I've attempted has been a learning experience in itself. Custom hero icons and models have been inserted, and may not be as well categorized as others.
This thread is for people like me, who have never modded a game at a code or XML level, with problems in their attempts to build a working mod.

Mord is already aware of my current problem: Using the Demo "Hunt for Zsinj" -Republic faction as a starting point, I started making a modified GC. I removed several planets and re-assigned some triggers in the XML, and then proceeded to add planets one by one. Most were appearing fine. However, others have proven less cooperative. A custom planet I wanted to insert (named Eshan) was inserted manually, and while the planet was appearing, it had [MISSING] as a name, and not the one I'd put into the MasterTextFiles. In fact, none of the soft data for the planet was showing up. Not the populace, the weather, or the encyclopedia inserts.
Mandalore, however, is proving my biggest problem. It is not appearing at all, and nothing I have been doing can seem to change it.
I think Mord's advice about it being a conflict in the GameObjectFiles.xml may be on the mark, as I encountered a similar problem with Geonosis. However I still haven't solved it, so I'm going to attempt to upload the problematic file for perusal later.
Note: Yes, there are 3 Planets XML files listed, but I uploaded only the one that Mandalore is in. (TR has 3, and I only tweaked them, rather than make my own)

(NOTE: I tried making a duplicate of the whole campaign and renaming it, but it kept failing, so ultimately what I did was I backed up what files I could and toyed with the original Zsinj campaign file so I could learn. Please don't hate me! If I could get proper instruction on renaming these files, I'd be very much obliged.)

"We have your Back Burk'yc," says Illya, assuming a gentle smile, "I can sense a minor cabinet behind this wall. I don't think it'll have much in the way of treasure, but maybe it'll keep this from being a total waste for you guys," she said, noting a wall. The panel seemed locked, but Illya had no problems coaxing it open with her newfound toy. Swinging the verdant lightsaber, she brought the panel off its hinges. Inside was a lock-box and what looked to be a handfull of masks, armguards, and even a few explosive mines and grenades.
"Looks like a place they put confiscated weapons or items. Not much in the way of things that would interest a Jedi, which might be why it was left unopened," theorized Illya. Then noticing Burk'yc raising her helmet briefly to yawn, she looked over at Atin.
"We'll meet you back on the ship once you're finished?" she asked.
Atin's nod confirmed the notion.
Illya nods and walks with the others back to the ship, still feeling somthing amiss. They had almost reached the ship when an explosion from within the temple prompted them to pause. Atin must have run into something. Illya moves to go assist, but Sarad catches her by the hand and Burk'yc nods toward the ship.
"We'll watch for Atin from here. Get us prepped for takeoff," says Sarad.
"Right," says Illya, and rushes to the bridge. Due to her inexperience with the ship and its controls (she'd never actually piloted a ship before), Illya had to exercise dead reckoning to find the Bridge and start the takeoff. She was not completely ignorant however, and managed to bring the ship partway toward the Temple when she heard Atin calling for pickup over their comm.

From the ramp, Burk'yc watched for Atin and spotted him limping out of the temple.
"Put us down about here," she replied into her Comm.
Trying to maneuver the ship down as swiftly as she dare, Illya tries to make a landing out of their movement. As the ship licks the odd angle of a hill, Illya fumbles about for a comm. button, and when she fails to find one, yells back, "Is he aboard yet?"
"We're on. Go!" she heard a voice call back.
After helping their wounded brother aboard, the two sisters help him to the medical bay to treat his wound. As they close the boarding ramp, they are left distracted and miss the solitary shadow step aboard, leaving a set of droid footprints on the ramp of the ship.

We've got an HK stowaway! This could work well. Sorry for being away so long guys. I had a lot happening. I hope you all had a good Christmas!

(this can go, but I kinda like it)
As Illya pilots away from the ground, she can hear Atin yell from the hall in a raised tone, "You mean to tell me you left the blind girl flying my ship!?"

Kinda left everyone hanging didn't I. Suggestions are welcome, but if we want to have more encounters before leaving, we could have sith assassin droids attempt an ambush (maybe even have them stalked by one of the HK models!), but its optional. You two can have us meet up with your new characters, and we can set up for a different adventure, as Illya will have learned all she can from this place. Does anyone want to look for a secret passage before we go?

Having finished her cry, Illya swallowed hard, and turned to squarely face the others.

"Thank you. All of you. I know there's nothing left for me here now. Watching you all, I've seen your work. Your sense of family and comradery. I don't know if this is asking too much, and maybe I don't understand it enough to ask this, but I want what you have in my life right now. That's why I want" she paused hesitantly, took a deep breath, then said aloud in resolution, "I want to become a Mandalorian."

Illya gently moved a cord, setting off a small buildup of static, clearing some of the distortions. The face was of a prominent jedi. One from before her time in stasis. "Atris" She seemed to recall, was the name, or something close to it.

"The Sith Lord is as arrogant as he is heartless," she said, her blue hologram illuminating the kiosk, "He seems to think that even with his forces scattered, he can still take us on uninhibited. At least we know he's easy to track, as his hunger for the life force of others seems insatiable! Still, he cannot hope to match us here. The Miraluka are almost as well connected to the force as us, and will be able to resist him better than most races, and our numbers will overwhelm him in short order when he arrives on the planet. With the third and fifth fleets cutting off his other routes, he'll play right into our hands!"

There was more, but Illya was more interested in a final transmission captured in the archive after now. It was between the same jedi and someone in the temple. As she played it, Illya could feel her throat knot and tilted her head back as her sockets swelled with pools of tears behind her blindfold.

"... you're sure?" Atris asked.
The return voice replied, "I told you, There's nothing left! No people, no animals,- nothing!"

Not sure what the warhammer 40k is, but it sounds interesting. send me thoughts to read on!

"That is- unfortunate," replied the image of Atris, "We never dreamt Nihilus could drain the whole planet, much less do so from orbit. And what of the Temple? Are the holocrons secure?"

"There's no telling. The computers were wiped, and the sith packed this place with so many traps I can't sit without checking where! The fact I managed to get remote access to the main computer terminal to use the transmitter and contact you is promising, but we lost a third of our team just trying to get inside the foyer. I'm not risking any more men. Not even for the Holocron of Eos. I'm pulling my-"

Illya halted the recording, her head tilted as far back as she could manage, before tilting down, letting her lachrymal floodgates spill over her face and blurting out, "Those bone pinching Jackels knew! They knew he was coming and said nothing to us!"
She sobbed on, "Maybe they knew even before my parents started preparing."

Not sure what idea you're referring to, but I'm game. PM me with details and we can compare as we iron out some ideas before we post here.

Illya smiles as she watches from behind. They might have been mercenaries, but they were also family- and a good-hearted family at that. The lights dance about each wall and corner as Illya walks alongside Sarad. The corridors were narrow, and littered with destruction and decay, and had Illya's newfound friends not been so quick and skilled, she might have felt safer by herself in the dark where she was a less discernable target, being the only one who needed no light to see. However, the last skirmish had left her feeling safer than she'd ever felt since she'd awoken, and now that she'd seen them in action, the Mandalorian arms that she'd found so intimidating were quickly becoming a source of reassurance for her. Even Sarad's rotary repeater was leaving her with a sense of shelter because of its bearer.

Occasionally Illya stops to check a debris pile or corpse, hoping she isn't overlooking something important. One of them, she finds in an obscure corner with another lightsaber (although this rusted handle, apart from its crystal, looks like it has seen better days), and a security-card (among other things). Then as they reach a closed door, Illya and Burk'yc do their best to push open the door while Sarad covers the entrance, and Atin their retreat. Their efforts reveal a disused inner sanctum. Dim lights and iridescent edging light up the control panel toward the far side, and an enigmatic dais serves as the centerpiece of the octagonal room. Illya walked across, keeping watch of the dais as she crosses the room, and switches on the auxiliary power. Computer screens stirr to life as the control panel reveals its purpose as a central kiosk. The others move to join Illya as she waves them over, and for a moment, Illya thinks she can sense a figure peeking behind the corner of the entrance they'd entered from, but as she looks again to get a better glimpse, she senses nothing there. Merely a strong presence near the entrance of something once there, but gone.

"I hope this place isn't getting to me already," she thinks to herself. The lights are dismayingly sharp in the otherwise pitch black of the lightless chamber, and slowly the ceiling lights flicker to life. The illuminated room then reveals what had been increasingly bothering Illya since she'd begun checking the bodies they'd moved past. Bodies that seemed to have been of people minding their own business before dropping dead suddenly in their tracks. Some lay tipped over small drops along the edges of the floor, clasping throats or heads in anguish.

"It's like they were all mummified, and then the sith moved in," comments Illya, "I mean, I expected to see blaster fire or lightsaber scoring in here, but now that I think about it, I haven't seen any except our own since we entered this secret labyrinth. Just dead Jedi and Sith traps. Its like they never even fought each-other in here. Do you suppose the weapon's fire we saw earlier was from tomb raiders who got killed by the sith traps and war-droids they left behind?"

Illya then turns to console to access it and finds yet another barrier. The console is in fact locked by codes and interface barriers, and even the security key she'd found earlier is proving only enough to unlock the main directory and little more.

"What I'd give for an astromech droid. Are any of you proficient with computer security?" asks Illya hopefully.

If someone wants to, I figure that if someone tries to hack it, they'll find evidence of someone having already hacked much of the system, and they'll find messages of the Jedi's plan to bait Lord Nihilus into attacking them there because they didn't think they could possibly be taken so easily (and securing local treasures like their holocrons), and then of Nihilus razing the planet and draining it of life from orbit. Don't feel like you have to use my premise though. I like your ideas too!

"There's Armor that can stop one of these!?" asks Illya in awe. Yet as Illya looks behind her at the other three, she hears the whir of sith droid tech clamor down the halls and looks back in time to see the dust-bitten lead droid fire a blaster bolt over her head. Instinctively, Illya drops to the floor and covers her head, still clasping the lightsaber in one hand, and watches as the others move to cover her. Recognizing the need to respond with them, Illya immediately fumbles at her pocket for the hold-out blaster Burk'yc had given her.

However, Illya is hardly able to even point the gun in order to fight back before the fight is over, and is helped up by one of the others.

"They didn't even hesitate," thought Illya awestruck, "They simply took charge and handled it."
As the three moved past her to get a view further in, Illya followed, quietly watching, and thought to herself, "I wonder if I could ever learn to be like them. To be as cool and calm in troubled times like this."

Illya watched in amazement as the three Mandalorians responded to the threat. Atin's movements were slow and deliberate as he worked to move past the motion sensor and dismantle the explosive. As he separated the charge from the mechanism, Illya heaved a sigh of relief.

"By the looks of things, he seems like a grave robber who came to scratch some valuables from this place before he was killed by one of those," muttered Illya, "But these signs. The mines, the traps. It's as if the sith left it booby-trapped to act as a warning- ...or a reminder."

After she heard Atin's reply she nodded. Leading them with a renewed sense of caution, they walked deeper into the abandoned temple. Darkness all but erased the edges of the rooms as they wandered through. Illya, however, was not bothered by low light, although a part of her wished she was limited to the narrow beams of light her friends had to see with, for much of what she sensed about them sent shivers down her spine.

As they entered the main hall, Illya looked about at the crumbling infrastructure. One of the two winding staircases had collapsed, and dust particles hung in the air like wisps. Centered about it was a (now dry) fountain that served as the room's centerpiece Illya walked past this to the back of the hall and raised her hand to move the hidden Jetii lock. A grind of masonry could be heard behind the wall, and a second later, dim lights danced across the stone in old letters and a stairway formed behind the fountain leading down.

"I'd see the Jetii use this occasionally, though I've never been down here myself. I'm sure the sith penetrated it, but since only a force user can open it, its unlikely the tomb raiders found a way in, so its possible we'll find some preserved records or data of what happened," she said, then turning to glance back, replied with a shrug, "-we might even find some valuables."

With that, Illya slowly began to descend the stairs. An inch of ash and stone dust covered the floor. Another body lay not far beyond the stairs end, and sensing something beneath the dust, used the force to lift a lightsaber from the dust.

"I'd say this is a promising sign," she said, holding the weapon up, "They would have looted bodies of things like this if raiders had made it down here."

Your turn. We could have a firefight in the narrow corridors, and possibly some more mines, but I figure this place hasn't been looted yet, and may yet have some more jetii secret doors and/or passageways.

Nodding, Illya checks a plastisteel container for what she hoped would be supplies or at least a bag to hold what remains of her belongings. Tossing aside the unusable dead power cells and decayed remains, she dons an old, time-worn purse of her mother's, and filling it with what little usable things she can find, climbs back out.

"If memory serves, the temple should be this way," she says, pointing in a direction almost perpendicular to the direction they'd come from. Following Illya's lead, the three Mandalorians help her blaze a trail.

"I don't see any signs of weapons fire," comments Illya, "Whatever happened wiped out not just my people, but every living thing. Animals, trees, the lot. -and did so without any blaster fire or conventional weapons. Could a Sith Lord really do all this?

Yet as they neared the Jetii temple, Illya is stopped by Burk'yc, who slows her. As they enter the temple chambers, Illya is only partially aware of the lights the others have turned on to see in the unlit halls. She is, however, only too aware of the skeletal remains lying strewn about the halls.

Suddenly, Illya is stopped short by Burk'yc, who grabs her sharply by the shoulder and points her weapon ahead into the passage. There, down the passage, a scorched skeleton lies across them, and the glint of something metallic.

"Wh-what's wrong?" asks Illya nervously.

Leaving next lines up to you guys, as you're the Mandalorians who'd spot the traps stop Illya from getting killed by them, but I'm figuring there are proximity mines, traps, and possibly even a sentry droid or two from the old sith wars in the temple that they have to take care of. Atin or one of the others could explain that the scorched corpse was killed by plasma, and that based on the designs, the traps look to be of sith origin, and might have been left by Sith military to dissuade people (particularly Jedi) from returning to the temple or city (people don't like to settle in booby-trapped homes after all). After this happens, I figure Illya can open one of the secret passages (the kind that only a force user can) to see if they can find any information or treasure. As before, Operator-Chan twin is at liberty to change this if she doesn't like any of the actions I had Burk'yc take.

(I get the feeling you all feel a little bogged down with this whole "Everything is new to Illya" Thing, so I'm going to try to write this to get us out of the tiny minutia details so we can get our plot moving. Please let me know if I'm in error. Another thing: Since I am taking liberties with character dialogue, please know I'll happily change/delete it if you don't like the dialogue. Just let me know or write your own variant and i'll delete accordingly. To be clear: I DON'T WANT TO MISREPRESENT ANYONE'S CHARACTERS!)

Illya stood, taking care to be more cautious this time, and followed Burk'yc and Sarad to the cargo bay, where they prepped to get her fitted for a life-support mask

"Try this on," says Sarad, handing a breathing mask to Illya. As she tries it on, she turns to see Burk'yc pull an old Mandalorian helm and external life support pack out and hold it up in suggestion.

"I don't know Burk'yc, do you think she should really be using one of our old helmets? She won't see a thing in i- oh, right. Well let's try it."
Illya felt the helm go over her face. It was comfortable, even without the rest of a suit to go with.

"You don't look that bad in it," commented Sarad, "You might make a good Mandalorian."
"I didn't think Miraluka could be Mandalorians," commented Illya under the helmet.

"Well, mandalorian isn't a race so much as a lifestyle. It- what's the matter now Burk'yc?"

Burk'yc shook her head and held up the hose to the primary life support pack it was built for, revealing a dangerously exposed tear.

"Ah. I forgot that's why we threw that in here! We're going to have to go with the mask you first tried on Illya. Sorry."

Illya feels Burk'yc's hand on her shoulder, and thinks she can just barely sense her say in the quietest of voices, "Maybe next time."

Illya removed the helm and the two sisters gingerly set it aside before helping her fit the mask on. As they are finishing, Atin leans in the doorway and asks, "What's the hold-up?"

"We're just getting it adjusted," says Sarad brightly.
"Lets get a move on then," says Atin, "Daylight is waning out there."

Picking up their weapons Burk'yc and Sarad head for the boarding ramp. Illya moves to follow pausing only briefly to glance back at the mandalorian helmet she'd tried on.

The boarding ramp lowered to reveal a desolate landscape, and for a moment Illya has to adjust to the sight of what she'd only faintly sensed outside the ship before. She watches as the three mandalorians set out, following their tracks in the ash and dry plant-life. Burk'yc, last in the line, walks a few steps, then without a word turns and walks up to Illya, hands her a small hold-out style blaster pistol, and turns again to join the others. Illya stares for a moment at the small blaster, then sticks it in her pocket and pulling her off-white hood over her head, follows them down the ramp.

When they reached the location, Illya recognized the location and headed straight to the hidden basement. She then moves past her pod to two other tubes. Activating their internal lights, she dusts the debris of the first. Its empty. As she moves to the second she has to adjust the power coupling to power the second. It too is empty.

"Whatever happened, they weren't here," thought Illya, then mutters under her breath, "But- they promised."
For a moment Illya stares pensively about the room. Perhaps the dark one arrived before they had the chance. But if that was so- then she'd escaped his notice by mere minutes.

Turning, she sees the Mandalorians peeking in from above and replies, "I may not find answers, but I want to look one more place. How do you three feel about abandoned jetii temples?

I like Pyro as a supporting character. She might even make a good recurring or main PC. If you're willing, after this arc, we could introduce her as the person that offers Atin, Burcly'c, Sarad, and Illya their next bit of work. It could make for a good way to have Illya get her feet wet and learn what kind of people she's working with.

Now for my blurb on the story

"Oh I didn't mean it like that!" objected Illya. Yet as she listens, Illya's face relaxes and even hints a brief smile at Atin's gentle response.
After hearing Atin's explanation, she tilts her head down, and asks in a lower voice, "Then-... could you perhaps take me to where you found me? I-... I'm a little afraid to go, -but I need to see for myself."

She then adds with a shrug, "I- may also need one of your rebreather masks."

Illya nods, trying to swallow back her sense of loss. She's finds it frighteningly easy, and deep down, knows she's not yet willing to accept it.

"So, you three are like, mercenaries," she comments in reflection.

Illya stares (if one could call it that) back at Sarad somewhat nervously.
"Th-thank you Sarad," then looking about, asks, "Please, this is all so new. Mum and Dad had prepped me to go under is the last thing I remember before being brought here. They'd promised they'd wake me themselves after about a month. That was our plan."
Her voice trails off...

'But that's clearly not so, which means something's gone wrong.' she thinks to herself.

She can feel her heart rising into her throat as she asks, "I- don't mean to ask the obvious, but is- is that dead world outside the ship... is that really Katarr?"

Illya, looked about, listening, and hoping to be surprised by the answer she'd receive. However her Miraluka perception- what others called "force sense", seldom deceived her. She wanted to step outside the ship and find her parents, but she would probably need to borrow a rebreather mask just to avoid inhaling the ash outside. Whatever their intentions, she was at their mercy of her present company.

As she listened, Illya clutched Atin's hand the tighter.

Trying to drown out her pending anxiety, Illya tries to ask another question, hoping her rescuers might explain more about themselves. She suspected they were Mandalorians, but if they were, their style of armor had changed some since last she'd seen one. Her next question, she hoped, would let her know more as she asks, "So, what brought you all here? Did something draw you?-"

Her brain censored her initial impulse to ask if they'd come for some sort of business. Any business on a world this dead wasn't the legitimate kind. Perhaps some kind of sport or salvage?

I sure hope Atin, Burk'yc, or  Sarad are big huggers. This girl is scared!

sorry for my delayed response. Had a bit of a life crisis keep me away a while

Ok, so the Triumvirate and the Sith are gone as far as anyone knows?

Yes. In short, this takes place after the deaths of the Sith Lords Nihilus, Sion, and Traya (that is pretty much the only stipulation of my character, as she was an escapee of Nihilus' wrath). So far, we seem to, by my best guess, have it that the Jedi Order is being (re)built by those trained by the Exile, and so far are still too small to be of much influence. In that regard, Force use would likely be in a dark age, and lawlessness is going to be prevalent throughout most of the galaxy as the Republic is going to still be fighting to re-establish dominance in its own star-systems.

We're honestly still establishing our timeline some, so if you have a specific time to start from, your input is welcome. So much is still up in the air in terms of "when". I'd originally pondered making a character who was a progeny of Brianna (The Handmaiden from KotoR II) but felt such a character would likely A) lead to OP character shenanigans, and/or B) prompt too much debate on Force dogma. I'd therefore written the one I have now with an aim toward avoiding those things. Still, we have options, and its early enough we could take it any number of directions!

Anyhoo, Let us know what you think. It'd be fun to have another person in on the action!

Oh, on that note, there's Something I'd like to ask Operators:
Could we make it our general rule (exceptions welcome) that unless we feel the need to, we're going to treat ours as an alternate history RP, so nobody feels railroaded into making the story progress a certain way. That would make me feel I could write more freely, and ensure the factions we play don't have to reflect things like say, SWtOR unless we decide we want them to.

As the realization of Hibernation sickness sets in, Illya tries not to struggle as she's put back on the examination table. Her senses feel dull and even the prick of the stim-pack feels almost too distant to detect as she tries to stay calm.

"I'm- am, am I? I'm sorry, I-..." she tries to formulate words with little success as she turns her head about. She may not be able to see them, but it still helps her as she tries to look on the others, and her surroundings.

"I must have stood up too quickly," she reasons as she lies back to let the blood flow to her head again.

A moment or so later her head begins to clear again as the adrenal stim takes effect. As she hears Atin introduce Burk'yc, she nods toward her in acknowledgement.

"Pleased to meet you Burk'yc," she says quietly.

(now just to see if she freaks at Sarad with the cannon) yea, I don't know if I'm portraying initial stages of waking from hibernation right, but my guess is even without the blindness, it's not a quick wake-up process.)

Trying to slow her frantic breaths, she takes Atin's hand and replies in a low voice.

"Illya. Illya Lun'el."
Standing, Illya tries to lean calmly against the examination bed- but she is still so very cold, and cannot help but shiver. Slowly Looking about, she thinks she recognizes the mandalorian armor worn by her rescuers. They are well armed; Uncannily well armed.

"That armor. You're not- not with the republic. Are you of the Mand'al clans?" she asks. She is unsure of her vocabulary, but anything is welcome to drown out the planet's silence. As she holds his hand, she senses the surface thoughts of Atin and replies, "No- not Jetii. Have you never seen a Miraluka 'vefo-..."

Illya collapses into Atin's arms, her sense of the world swimming for a moment as she fights to stay conscious.

can't show it properly right now, but since you stated they're orbiting the planet, Illya is not only recovering from a state of hibernation/stasis sickness, but also sensing a whole lot that hardly makes sense to her, including the fact Katarr (the world they are orbiting) is now completely dead.

Illya felt hands move her as she began to slowly stir from slumber. The twilight veil that comes with sleep begins to disperse as she realizes she's regaining conciousness. She moves, disoriented. The room is warm, but she is still cold. The room is un-familiar. The hum of engines and ship components begin to echo in her surroundings. Had she been kidnapped?

"Where- Where am I?" she asked hesitantly, adjusting the fold of cloth covering her eyes. As the ship's engines begin to power up though, her head darts about more frantically.

"Why are we moving!?"
"What's going on?"
"Where are my mother and Father, and why can't I sense their presence?"

A panicked look crosses her face and suddenly the ship lurches as if pressed back to the ground. Gripping the bed and dizzily rolling out of it, she cries, "Stop the ship! I'm not leaving without them!" before falling to the floor.

... yea, you might need to sedate her or stop the ship and let her get her bearings. She's a little scared.

Ok, Let me see if I this character fits your style. She might not be what you're looking for; if that's so, just let me know and I'll come up with something else. The idea is for you to write her entrance by having someone find her on the barren homeworld of the Miraluka.

Name: Illya Lun'el

Gender: Female

Race: Miraluka (Explanation to come)

Age: 16

Affiliation: None yet.

Personality: Quiet, withdrawn disposition.

Positive Traits: Knowledge from the primeival days of the Jedi and the Old Republic. Excellent force sense. Minor Jedi abilities (Note: Illya does not consider herself a jedi or a force user, but she is in fact basing this solely on the fact she was never a user on par with the jedi from her own time. That said she knows far more than she realizes, and has the potential to quickly learn.)

Negative Traits: Much suppressed emotion; Possibly the last of her kind; Blind

History: Illya's people were always connected to the force by necessity. Having never evolved proper eyes, they learned to "see" through the force. This unfortunately drew the attention of one of the sith lords, Nihilus, who turned his eyes on their world to sate his endless hunger for force power, and many believe the race now extinct, and their world a lifeless rock. However this is not entirely accurate. Having always seen through the force, prophecy was not uncommon, and Illya's family was among those who foresaw Nihilus' coming. Aware his havoc could not be stopped, they resolved to hide in the only way they felt they could from the sith lord: By placing themselves in Stasis until long after when Nihilus was no more. Illya was only a teenager at the time and was loathe to be the first to enter her stasis chanber, but she trusted her parents and did as she was told.

When she awoke however, her parents were nowhere to be found and her world was a gray ash-heap compared to what she had left. (It is unknown how many years passed. It could be decades, centuries, or millennia, which lets us still set the era to whatever works)

Name: Illyas Lun'el

Gender: Female

Race: Miraluka (Explanation to come)

Age: 16

Affiliation: None yet.

Personality: Quiet, withdrawn disposition. Slow to speak. Much suppressed emotion.

Positive Traits: Knowledge from the pinnacle days of the Old Republic. Excellent force sense. Minor Jedi abilities (Note: Elias does not consider herself a jedi or a force user, but she is in fact basing this solely on the fact she was never a user on par with the jedi of her time. That said she knows far more than she realizes, and has the potential to quickly learn.)

Negative Traits: Possibly the last of her kind, and like all her kind: Blind

History: Elias's people were always connected to the force by necessity. Having never evolved proper eyes, they learned to "see" through the force. This unfortunately drew the attention of one of the sith lords, Nihilus, who ravaged the planet Katarr in his endless hunger for force power, and many believe world devoid of life now. However this is not entirely accurate. Having always seen through the force, prophecy was not uncommon, and Elias' family was among those on the colony who foresaw Nihilus' coming. Aware his havoc could not be stopped, they resolved to hide in the only way they felt they could from the sith lord: By placing themselves in Stasis until long after the monster had passed on. Elias was only a teenager at the time and was loathe to be the first to enter her stasis chamber, but she trusted her parents and did as she was told.
When she awoke however, her parents were nowhere to be found and her world was a gray ash-heap compared to what she had left. How long had she been asleep?

Star Wars Discussion / Re: Do you plan on watching Solo?

I can't bring myself to see it, which is a shame because from what some people have told me it might be the one spin-off where they might not have done that bad a job.

Sadly, Disney has proven too much of a political machine run by contempt, unthinking people that would rather protest at rallies than have actual open dialogues with those they disagree with. I haven't seen a good movie by them since Wreck-It-Ralph, and their add for the sequel to that was downright offensive!

Solo was a favorite for many of us. I can't stand to risk seeing them abuse the one character I still like.
No, until Roy Disney fires the guy who said to him "we could shape the minds of future generations with this" (not to mention everyone that guy hired to force his agenda down our throats), Disney is just going to continue screwing things up. I can't in good conscience put money behind that.
